take it back where you bought it and let them see the bug if it is bigger than the steam holes it might have been there when it was put together they will trade with you if you say it that way.

That was one curious little bug! Wonder if its thinking "what kind of mess am I in? How doI get out?!!!" :D :D

Sorry, I know this isn't funny but it really tickled me. I would try the overfilling of the iron in the kitchen sink and seeing if that would work. The poor bug is dead anyway so if flooding him out won't work...time and bits & pieces of him will.

I just checked and I don't have one. I don't have a clue how to get it out but as long as it doesn't mess up the fabric, i wouldn't worry about it.

At least this bug is not going to hurt anything. I just rolled a quilt I have on my frame and found I had quilted a bug between the backing (pale yellow) and the batting...very visible!!! And I refuse to frog that much of my quilt to get it out. I'll take a hammer to it when I get it off the frame and maybe I can make it dust!!!

I get little bugs in my iron. Never have been able to get them out so just went on ironing!

If you happen to have a pair of surgical pickups( look like real long tweezers)try that or just ignore it.

No suggestions but that is definately an odd problem.

sherriequilts 11-02-2010 09:38 PM

I like the suggestion that you NAME it and just keep on using the iron. After all, it is dead!

lol! I would just continue to iron. It won't hurt anything I don't think...
