I love Altoid tins -
They make the excellent containers for a mini-sewing kit, holding bobbins or pins -
They are small enough to tuck in my purse and large enough to hold the basics for a hand sewing project - small scissors, needles, thread, thimble, pins - band-aids - |
Me too! My husband also uses them for his fountain pen "stuff."

yep, the little mints container is what i use.

last year I found someone on etsy that covered them in clay, I bought 3 as gifts. very pretty

I love them to hold all kinds of things, but I hate the mints so only
buy empty tins at yard sales whenever I can. |

That's funny! Because I was just thinking yesterday that I needed to hunt one or two down for a sewing kit to keep in the trailer (if it *ever* gets finished... I'm trying so hard to be patient!). I love them for their storage possibilities!

Tea bags fit perfectly in those tins! Better than being mushed at the bottom of a purse.
|
I use them to hold needles, used rotary blades, used and broken needles
|
I have started using the hard case glasses holders. They are perfect for holding all the necessaries for hand work as well as my crochet hook and a pair of nail clippers! I even got a case at a yard sale recently for just 50 cents!
