I have already made her several quilts, she wouldn't use mug rugs, or the bow tucks purse so that's out.

I also embroider. Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance

Good suggestions everyone, thanks.

Well, she is a widow, & doesn't really cook anymore. She has several quilts of different sizes I have made. I made her some dish towels but says they are too pretty to mess up.

I don't know about the hankies, and doesn't have any animals.

She does go to the gym and is in the pool a lot there, so maybe an embroidered gym towel???

I also thought of pillows for her couch.

Since she goes to the gym, how about a nice quilted bag? Your idea of a embroidered towel is also a nice idea.

How about a potholder saying "I only have a kitchen because it came with the house"?

The quilted shawl on the moda bake shop website is a great gift for older ladies if they are cold natured. It is a free pattern.

If you embroider how about personalilzing a sweatshirt of jacket depending on her style.
