I never thought of teaching Noah's wife & DIL's to quilt but that should definitely get my machines on board unless he finds out how addicting it is! He'd probably have to build an ark just for my fabric. As of 9:00 tonight the river was at 31.8' & still suppose to crest this weekend between 37' & 39'. They finished making 1 million sandbags today & the weather is co-operating in building the dikes but there are still a lot of people who need help sandbagging but the volunteers have been great. I helped fill bags & sandbagged last year but I can't do it this year because of my back. It's very hard for me not to be able to help with that but they said I would land up in the hospital if I did so I guess I'll just have to keep praying & bring food if they need it. We did make national news last night so you may be able to see where I live. In a very, very big lake. If the dikes hold we'll be o.k. Will keep you posted.

Noah said yes!!

I have a neice that goes to college in Moorhead and she and alot of the kids from the college have been helping sand bag.
We've experienced flooding a couple times so I know what you're up against. Good luck.

I'm glad Noah said yes but I think one stipulation is "no stopping at quilt shops"! Make sure you thank your niece & her friends for helping out with all the sandbagging. I don't know what we would do without them and I know a lot of the people feel the same way.

As long as you take them in pairs, I believe it should count.
