As if women need more padding!

Those crazy designers are at it again! Some of those outfits look as though someone raided our stash and used the concept of rag quilts.

Those are really horrible! Some of them look like they came from the dumpster.

Macybaby 03-13-2018 08:23 AM

that dress with the "flower" on the crotch - makes me wonder what kind of drugs the designers take.

JanelleTrebuna 03-13-2018 08:29 AM

The fashion industry is nuts!
I can't imagine anyone wearing those outfits; and paying through the nose for the privilege to do so.

Boston1954 03-13-2018 08:33 AM

What's next? Bustles? Is it 1886?

cjsews 03-13-2018 08:35 AM

Just plain ugly in my opinion. I'm glad i don't live in Paris.

ljptexas 03-13-2018 09:01 AM

What a laugh!!! Ugly, ugly, ugly!! Looks like clothing? for a custom party.....

Feather3 03-13-2018 09:57 AM

Gee if that's all it takes to be a top fashion designer & get rich peddling this crap then we all missed the boat. I mean really??? They call this fashion?? I think a 2 year old would do better. Heck most of us have worn out comfy clothes that would put this stuff to shame, LOL. Even an old worn out quilt the dog had for years would look better.

I did see in the article that the designer does NOT expect anyone to wear those out fits. It was a show of "Art design". Heck I wouldn't even buy it if it was art. It's beyond ugly that's for sure!

Stitchnripper 03-13-2018 10:01 AM

Ha. Too funny. But I'm thinking of my fragile bones and how that padding would be protective if I ever fell. Not attractive though

Too funny, Miss Alyce!

I don't know if my dogs would even lay on some of those outfits. I think they might try to bury them instead.

patricej 03-13-2018 10:19 AM

if you read the article, you'll find that the designers are just having fun.
they are "concept" designs that the designers do not expect anyone to actually buy or wear.

i got a good laugh out of it all, so i guess they succeeded. lol

although ... most of those shoes would provide a good workout. assuming you don't fall off and break your neck. lol lol lol

Geri B 03-13-2018 01:30 PM

There are really no words to describe those outfits.......women who look starved, skinny legs, "Bobby socks" with dress (ha,ha) shoes....why do we women allow men to show us in this degrading ugliness! Have you ever seen a male fashion show...either regular or weird as this one?

Barb2018 03-13-2018 02:23 PM

Oh Lord, just give me my jeans and a button down shirt and I will be happy. If I want casual, i wear a sweatshirt.

Sandra in Minnesota 03-13-2018 06:02 PM

I knew that someday my bobby sox and anklets would come back into style! lolololol

cashs_mom 03-13-2018 06:20 PM

I wonder if these designers just really hate women and want to make the ugly or what?

canmitch1971 03-13-2018 07:35 PM

They are all very ugly imho

notmorecraft 03-14-2018 12:10 AM

Have a look at the Dior collection, patchwork jackets are in fashion

Aurora 03-14-2018 01:25 AM

What a horrible waste of fabric and leather (of course, there probably isn't any leather in those hideous shoes)!!!

sandy l 03-14-2018 03:15 AM

A good laugh will always get the morning off to a great start:)

lillybeck 03-14-2018 04:51 AM

I do not post much anymore but, I just have to say how ridicules these are. One looks like an old chenille bedspread and others look like they collected someone's scraps

SusieQOH 03-14-2018 04:53 AM

Did you read the comments underneath the photos ? They are hilarious :D

Homespun 03-14-2018 05:19 AM

The girl in the pink hat and about 100 layers from her chin to her waist made me laugh out loud! Bhahahahaha

Onebyone 03-14-2018 05:44 AM

If you read the article it states the designer does not expect any one to wear the clothes. It is all about being creative and it's art. Not to be in anyone's closet.

Geri B 03-14-2018 05:58 AM

I guess art is truly in the eye of the beholder!....I must be blind!

institches33 03-14-2018 06:01 AM

Easter outfits for circus folk!

It may not be expected to be actually worn, ...but don't be surprised that you see some of these silly things walking down the street. I saw somebody with the crazy three layer jeans tops on one pair of jeans here. She looked stupid!!! TOO, TOO funny! Loved them all, esp. the first one with the really strange pants.... wait.... they are all hilarious!!

sewbizgirl 03-14-2018 06:23 AM

Yes... quite the fashion circus. You have to give it to him, for creativity. Wondering where these creations will go? In a textile museum?

Thanks for the morning's entertainment, Chasing Hawk!

jarenie 03-14-2018 08:52 AM

Ha ha ha ha ha ha just tooo funny

madamekelly 03-14-2018 02:39 PM

Maybe it is just me, but those designers need to leave the drugs alone. I could never be a high fashion clothing designer, I have taste, maybe a bit bohemian, but taste! Lol!

Fashion has sure taken a bad turn when Walmart has better fashion sense.......

ILoveToQuilt 03-14-2018 04:04 PM

I do like the crocheted jacket in photo #2. I don't think I'd wear it backwards like it shows, but I do think it is pretty and wearable. The other "fashions".....OMG. ROTFLMAO!!!! Really?

maryb119 03-14-2018 06:20 PM

Terrible!!! I would not wear those clothes across the street to a dog fight...even if I knew both dogs!

trolleystation 03-14-2018 06:30 PM

I think that these outfits are an insult to a women's intelligence. Do they think that we will buy just anything in the name of fashion.

bunbytes 03-14-2018 06:43 PM

Horrible! I wonder what the designers were on when they came up with these ideas?

If you look closely you can see the whole thing is l hreads held together, which means it would catch on everything. It would be like wearing a wedding dress to a grocery store. You can do it, but it probably would not look too good afterwards.

OhCanada 03-14-2018 08:19 PM

The shoes! How can someone even walk in them?!

JanieH 03-15-2018 05:08 AM

Those were scary. I did click on the link for Valentino's fashions at the bottom and was very impressed. I could actually see myself wearing them.

Ah...didn't look that closely, just at the "lines" of the jacket. I have a scarf that's threads joined in the center and it snags like crazy. Thanks for pointing this out for me. I guess I won't wear this anywhere!

Had to chuckle at the wedding dress comment, though. When I got married the first time (too many years ago to count), I didn't drive, had no money for a taxi, so I did what any city girl did, I jumped on the subway wearing my veil! I had just had my hair styled at a shop (didn't have the luxury of having a stylist come to me), and needed to get to my ceremony site. Gown in a garment bag, veil on my head - off I went! I did definitely raise some eyebrows that day. Wedding #2 - nothing as dramatic. Got dressed at home, drove myself to the church, got married, new DH drove home. Much prefer wedding #2!

nativetexan 03-19-2018 11:04 AM

the poor models don't look happy. i guess the designers have a great sense of humor!!

Gee, I'm glad to know the poor designer won't get his/her feelings hurt when nobody buys these pieces of (bleep).
