What one thing would you like to change about yourself?

donnajean 08-15-2011 08:36 AM

Smaller boobs!

QuiltnNan 08-15-2011 08:36 AM

that i started my quilting interests much earlier in life

Grama Lehr 08-15-2011 08:37 AM

I would like to be taller!!

BeckyL 08-15-2011 08:40 AM

Am I truly limited to just ONE thing? It definately would NOT be smaller boobs. I too wish I had found quilting earlier in life, but am appreciative that I have found it now and can better afford it now than I could have when raising the family.
But I do wish I could learn not to be a people pleaser. I try way to hard to please others and then my feelings are hurt when my efforts are not appreciated. My fault, but the older I get the harder it is to change.

barefoot quilter 08-15-2011 08:53 AM

my courage need more

sueisallaboutquilts 08-15-2011 08:55 AM

I love being a woman but I wish I could have been a major league baseball player and you still have to be a guy to do that!!!

karenpatrick 08-15-2011 08:55 AM

I'd be taller. I'm 4'10". There are issues every day that make my life harder than it would be if I were taller. I can't even reach stuff in the bottom of my washer unless I stand on a stool. I'd like to be at least 5' 5".

Patty Patches 08-15-2011 09:01 AM

I would like to have more self confidence,I;m a wuss

laughingquilter 08-15-2011 09:05 AM

I have a paralyzed vocal cord which makes my speaking voice very hoarse and raspy, as a result of a thyroidectomy many years ago. I would like to have my normal voice back. I used to sing in the church choir and my high school and college vocal groups.

DOTTYMO 08-15-2011 09:18 AM

To have the knowledge I have now but be 20years younger. Is this one or 2.?

TanyaL 08-15-2011 09:19 AM

I would have the health and energy I had when I was 50.

valsma 08-15-2011 09:24 AM

Well besides the obvious, my body type, I would like to change my confidence in myself. Lately the confidence I have in my ability's in some things just sucks.

leatheflea 08-15-2011 09:27 AM

Gee you really want us to think hard today.....I just cant decide theres to many flaws!

Yes, I think about this quite often. Think of all the quilts I missed out on, not only that, growing with the industry.

scowlkat 08-15-2011 09:30 AM

Just picking one thing is very difficult. There is of course the obvious weight issue; however, if I could go back and not have the accident that has caused me so many health issues (in 1978), I think that I would have more energy and the weight would not have become an issue.

So I guess I would like to stop procrastinating so much - which is why I have so many UFO's!

KathyAire 08-15-2011 09:38 AM

I'd want to be smarter.

What team would you like to play for? I bet you'd want to be a Yankee.
How did I ever know that?

Jim's Gem 08-15-2011 09:46 AM

Thinner. Then maybe my shoulders and knees wouldn't be so bad!

Joanie2 08-15-2011 10:14 AM

If I could change just one thing---I wish I could handle confrontation better. All my friends think I am bold and outgoing but I wish I could stand up for myself a little better. I need more moxie I guess.

Of course, being a wee bit taller would be nice as would a wee bit thinner but I'm not overweight, just under tall.

NancyG 08-15-2011 10:37 AM

I wish I were more outgoing. I am not an introvert by any means, but sometimes feel uncomfortable or shy in a new or unfamiliar situation, especially with meeting new people. I have a hard time carrying on an interesting conversation with someone I don't know very well. I'm pretty happy with everything else about myself and wouldn't want to change much more.

Margie 08-15-2011 10:52 AM

My weight struggle.....wish I had know so many things when I was younger so I could change things.

Faren 08-15-2011 10:55 AM

Physically, I want my headache to go away. I have had the same headache for 7 years now and my life would just be so much easy without it. Otherwise, I wish I had the ability to make dreams into goals and goals into plans to make the dreams come true.

plainpat 08-15-2011 11:31 AM

Me too! But once I know someone there is no problem. Also, I'm originally from Oklahoma City, and I'm just a girl who can't say NO!. Lots of truth to that song.

collady 08-15-2011 11:34 AM

All I think I would change is my back. I would love to have a healthy back that I didn't throw out of alignment every few years!

gigi4419 08-15-2011 11:45 AM

Have more self confidence!

Nanamoms 08-15-2011 12:04 PM

More confidence in myself and thinking that I have to please everyone!!

MadQuilter 08-15-2011 12:20 PM

I'd be more adventurous.

chickadeee55 08-15-2011 01:25 PM

Sad, but I wish I had a friend(s). There I said it.

varacefan 08-15-2011 01:26 PM

I'd like to procrastinate less!
:-)

raedar63 08-15-2011 01:28 PM

Hmmmmm a hard one for sure. I would say it would be my knack for becomming too passionate and outspoken if it is something I see as not being right , this mostly occurs at work and creates a mess for me. Other than than there are things I wish I did diffrently as a parent. As far as physical characteristics I do have control over them however, for some reason choose not too :)
