Ugh, I just found a cute Singer sewing machine on Craigs list last night, not Super old, but a nice real metal one, to use for my quilts. I was tired and LAZY and left it on the coffee table so I could play today.
Well, the bulldog must have not slept last night, because pieces of the cord are every where this morning, ugh. She such a brat, but I love her. Good thing is wasnt plugged in.............
Ah well another lesson learned here at the ZOO, lol!

grammyp 06-08-2010 05:10 AM

Boston1954 06-08-2010 06:07 AM

BAD PUPPY!! Can you get another cord for it?

CarrieAnne 06-08-2010 06:21 AM

Marsye, that dog looks alot like her!
Well, its a Singer, and a pretty common one, called a fashion mate, probaly 20 years old, so I bet I can still get a cord, maybe even from ebay. Bad thing is, it was only 15.00....which was a great price, I bet I have to pay more than that for the silly cord.....sigh, live and learn!

cjomomma 06-08-2010 06:54 AM

Remember you have to treat your fur babies like small children and keep things up out of their reach. Here is a big (((((((((((((HUG)))))))))))) for you.

mamapeggy11 06-08-2010 07:40 AM

the cats were running and playing one night and I had my phone plugged in and one got caught in the cord and my phone slammed againist the desk and broke-it was a pay as you go-so i lost my pictures-I now have a better phone but I still cry over my pictures and I had some text messages I had saved that had meaning to me. here's a {HUG} for you

ginnie6 06-08-2010 08:04 AM

my brat chewed up three pairs of shoes, a bra, and some stuffed animals the other weekend while we were gone. DD called me and told me he missed me and was being a brat. he also peed in the house which he never does.

Sorry CarrieAnne for the ruff start of the day.
I'm trying to get use to having a puppy in the house.
Lili was pulling on a cord to my laptop and it almost bit the dust yesterday.
The things they find to chew on. Good luck ;)

Hugs Hugs and more Hugs. My Auzzie boy has eaten my cell phone, camera, taken my knitting out the doggie door and spread it around the yard, he loves to chew up spools of thread and on and on. He is definately a gremlin. But then they look at you with that adorable face and you just can't stay mad. How fortunate it wasn't plugged in!

reach for the stars 2 06-08-2010 06:54 PM

Hope your day got better Hugs

craftybear 06-08-2010 06:56 PM

Hugs Hugs

I hope you can buy a new cord for your machine!

Take care!

Chasing Hawk 06-08-2010 06:57 PM

Poor thing, our cat decided to make herself at home the other day on a new pile of batting I had just ran through the fluff cycle to get some wrinkles out.

CarrieAnne 06-08-2010 07:01 PM

And its sofunny when they look at you like "My, why are you so upset?" My Noel is one of the sweetest dogs on earth, but as smart as a box of rocks sometimes, lol!

Leota 06-08-2010 07:03 PM

Sounds like she's wanting attention from mommy....just like children, bad attention is better than no (in their mind) attention....

CarrieAnne 06-08-2010 07:08 PM

Aw, she goes so much attention that she's a spoiled brat. But true, this was in the middle of the night...mom was asleep, and she wasnt being petted and cuddled. We all callher the Princess!

sewjoyce 06-10-2010 06:57 AM

Awww, bless your heart!! Here is a BIG one! {{{{HUG}}}} :D

bezzie58 06-10-2010 07:02 AM

I have a rottie she knows not to come near my things they bite. She chewed the cord to my foot peddle once and yes it was plugged in so she dosent go near it now.

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!hug!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Do keep an eye on your dog for the next few days. We had a Dane that demolished the rubber strip on the garage door. Thought nothing of it, except for cleaning up the mess, but didn't realize that he must have swallowed a few pieces of the rubber. These got into his intestines, jammed up. By the time we located the problem he had to have surgery to remove part of his intestines and unfortunately died from heart failure after surgery. If your dog starts throwing up, especially if it is bile, get him to a vet immediately and tell the vet about the cord. My Dane died many years ago and I still mourn him.

littlehud 06-10-2010 07:40 AM

Here is a ((((((((((((((((((hug))))))))))))))))) for you. Those fur babies are such stinkers. DGD has a new puppy and he chews everything. But when I watch them together it's worth it all.

karendenice 06-10-2010 07:43 AM

Carrie Anne I am so sorry about your cord. Hug coming your way.

Marsye, Loved the pic. You always come up with something wonderful for us. Thank you.

Janette, I am soooooooo sorry about your dog. BIG HUG, Sue

GrammaNan 06-10-2010 09:48 AM

Great big HUGS!!!! At least the cord can be replaced. I am glad that your pet is safe.

Quilter2B 06-10-2010 10:04 AM

{{{{Hugs}}}} My shepard did that too; when he was a puppy Bo crawled under the sewing cabinet and chewed through my cord. Some dogs just never learn. Thankfully it was just the cord and he didn't topple it off the table! Hope your day gets better!

kime 06-10-2010 10:08 AM
