Youngest person I ever knew was my grandmother. Not that you're there yet!!!!! Age is just a state of mind. Plus, I think you'll find the fifties bring a whole new outlook/attitude with it. I found turning 50 to be very freeing as in, I don't care what others think or, if I want funkier looking eye glasses, then I'll darn well get them! I'm hoping, when I hit sixties, that the only person I have to answer to (within reason, of course) is myslef.

Happy, Happy Birthday. I found turning 50 to be very liberating. I no longer care(ed) what I did and when I did it. If anyone else doesn't like it - too bad! And let's face it - it's just a number - frame of mind and attitude are what it's about.

I had 'issues' over turning '50' last year.... But went sliding yesterday with my kids & grandkids! We had a blast! lol!!!! Every now & then we go roller skating & go-kart riding too!

Happy Birthday, Marsye!!!! It may seem strange, but being 49 bothered me more than being 50, 51 or 52. The fifties have been pretty darned good. Have fun with the slots! It's been a long time since my DH and I have gone to the casinos.

I totally agree :thumbup: When I was about to turn 50 my sister told me the same thing and she was so rite :lol: I don't know what causes it, but I think you will find it a totally liberating time :!: Happy Birthday and enjoy the day. Also, my 93 year old Dad used to tell me that any day you can put your feet on the floor is a good day no matter how old you are :-P
