Important Christmas tree decorating question (NOT!!)

This week I helped decorated holiday trees at Children's Hospital. 2 of us were assigned 4 trees. Now, I always put the garland on last, but my decorating partner always put the garland on first. So, to be fair, we did two trees each way.

So, -- when do you put the garland on the tree, first, or last. (The lights were already on the trees, we did not have to worry about those!)

It depends on the garland. I have a garland of little wrapped presents that I like to put on after the lights but before the ornaments. If it is the fuzzy tinsel kind, I like that last so it drapes nicely on the ends of the boughs.
Who still puts tinsel on their tree? I stopped once we got an artificial trees because it is a pain to take it all off before storing the tree. Do they even still make tinsel?

it sounds like the toilet tissue, over or under

I don't do garland at all. No room for it with all the ornaments. 😜

I put mine on last, however I have not use any in years.

I do lights, garland then the other decorations. I have such a large collections of ornaments that I could never get the garland over and around them once they were on the tree.

This made me laugh :)

I don't use garland , I do like the old fashioned messy tinsel or as some call it icicles .

You are right!!! I guess that's why neither of us really took it seriously. We made a good decorating pair.

I never really cared how family members replaced the toilet tissue, as long as they did it!!

i put the garland on before the ornaments, otherwise the garland may knock the ornaments out of their spot

Garland first. it's just easier for me that way.
