My grandson Colton Leo (named Leo after my dad!) made his entrance into the world at 6:20am today Dec 17th. He was 7 lbs 8 0zs don't know how long he is but he looks long to me!!

He has twin brothers Devon and Daymon who are 7.

He was due on my dad's birthday Dec 31 so he was 2 wks early.

Devon fell in love with the baby! He wanted to hold him all the time and wasn't too happy at having to give him up from time to time! He sat on the bed with Mom and held him for most of the time we were there. About 3 hrs all totalled. LOL

The twins call their dad Daddy Glen cause their dad is named after his dad. So there is Papa Glen and Daddy Glen. They figured out really early on how to keep the two Glens apart!

What a sweetie! Look at all that hair. =) congratulations grandma....Blessings to the happy family. =)

Rhonda, I had started to send you a PM, then my timer went off for my cake & I came back & saw the baby posted. I had you'll on my mind all afternoon, wondering if he had arrived. He is so cute & the hair & little pug nose are so much like Devon. Devon will have trouble going back to school now that the baby is here. Will they call him Colton, or Leo? Your Mom may want to call him Leo! Are you the only one who got to go up to the hospital? Is Iowa City where they live? I know you'll be going everytime you can. The bad weather has just started here & I saw you'll had a round or two, too. I know Glen & your Mom want to go up to. Congrats to the Family & Grandma & Papa Glen! {{{HUGS}}}..........

Little Glen(not so little as Devon is fond of telling me when I call his dad this! He is 6ft 3" LOL) called me at midnight to tell me Angie's water broke and they were going to the hosp. They live in Mt. Vernon which is 30 mins from Iowa City. so they took the boys with them and then her mom drove up 1 1/2 hrs to go get the boys and at 3am she called me as she was about 15 mins from our house bringing them here. I knew they were probably coming. I had gone to bed at 2:30am you know what a night owl I am. and at 3:30 Karen came in with the boys. They hadn't slept much. Devon was so wired he couldn't sleep. It was 4:30 before I got him back to bed. Went to bed myself at almost 5 am and at 8:30 Glen (DH) woke me up telling me the boys are up and playing!! At 9 am DD called me to tell me she got a text that Colton was born at 6:20. So the day began! LOL

Mom and I took the boys up to see their little brother and we enjoyed the visit. Devon fell in love with Colton! Once he held him he didn't want to stop! LOL It was so cute. The twins are such opposites. Daymon could have cared less about holding the baby. He may have been a bit jealous. He has always clung to Angie alot so this may be an issue for him. Tho he hasn't said anything. Time will tell!

I think Angie is going to come down and stay at her mom's for a few days. Glen is working about an hour south of us(he's and electrician and goes on jobsites all over) and has planned to stay at my mom's on Mon and Tues nights so he doesn't have to drive the extra 2 hrs home from here. So I think Angie is just going to come down here and stay. The boys will be here or at Karen's and Glen will be working or at my Mom's (which is beside us) so I think she is feeling left out! LOL(just kidding!)
She thinks she is getting to go home on Sun or Mon am. Her dad just got home from the hosp after major surgery so I think she would like to be close to him.

Today was beautiful!!! My one fear was that the weather would be bad and we wouldn't get to go see him. But we had blue skies and the weather was in the upper 20s so not too bad.

Mariah Carey is the first one to sing tonight at the Christmas in Washington Special. She is going to have twins & the Obamas are the first ones her & her husband told about it. I know you're not going to get much TV time anytime soon with the new baby around & the twins.

Tell Little Glen it's OK to bring a couple of buckets of KFC or several bags of McD's when he comes at night. No one has time to cook when there's a new baby around. Just enjoy all the good times.

She might have twins again. Man that would fix daddy up. Twin girls better get a second job as girls are expensive. Are you sure he only weighted 7 lbs 8 ozs. He looks like a lot more. Glad he beat the snow storms. He probably would have weighted 9 or 10 lbs if he had waited till 31. So very proud for you & fam. Babies are a nice way to start people and God's reason for the world to carry on.

LOL We kept telling her this time that she could have twin girls! She wants a girl really badly.
I was teasing Glen about trying again for a girl (He originally said he didn't want kids!) He is a very patient and caring dad but he isn't a kid person really. He doesn't enjoy every child he sees like my DH and our other son Nathan. But he adores his own kids.
I said don't you want a girl? and he said No way! They're too stubborn!! LOL

Ooooh just want to cuddle with him,just love babies.
