Jaftex - Free Spirit gift

Imagine my surprise when a week or two ago Scott Fortunoff, the CEO of Jaftex, posted on Facebook that he wanted my address and the addresses of 2 other women. He wanted to send each of us a thank you gift for participating in a blog post he made several months ago. He was asking what retailers could do to encourage and support their customers.

I sent him my address and on Thursday came home to a parcel on my porch. In it was a beautiful bundle of Morris and Co FQ. The fabrics are beautiful and now I have 29 to put into a quilt.

It is a very generous gift.

I have found his posts on Facebook to be very interesting and they give a different perspective on the quilting industry.

I am in no way affiliated with him or his company, just a happy quilter who got an unexpected gift.

Congratulations! I adore Scott Fortunoff and his musings online. I believe he's really trying to keep the LQS alive with all of his encouraging challenges. He came with Kaffe & Brandon to our area last year and I found him to be as entertaining as the other two :) Also, he was quite generous with giveaways at the event - each of us (100's) left with a Tula Pink FQ bundle.

I haven’t heard of him. I wonder if he is related to the Fortunoff’s who had wonderful stores in NYC, Westbury and Wayne! NJ. I was heartbroken when they closed.

I've followed him on Facebook since they bought the Kaffe an Tula lines when the previous company went under. Scott seems to have a great sense of humor but he takes his job seriously. He explains the supplier/wholesaler side of the business, and asks for customer's opinions on ideas to keep local quilt shops alive. I'm very impressed with his charity work also. He gives away sewing machines to people who have faced tragedy and do not have a machine. I'm not affiliated with him either, but I enjoy his postings.
