Hi,

Checking in, but hanging my head in shame. Stressed out and eating to much.

I am doing well with breakfast, homemade granola, 1/2 a banana, 1/2 frozen berries and 40 cal Almond Breeze every day. I did not put in as many seeds and nuts this batch (did not have them and did not want to go shopping), I find it does not keep me full until my lunch break. Next batch I will put more nuts and seeds in. I know they are high in fat, but if I am not hungry for 5.5 hours after eating, I am not snacking, nor likely to eat too much at lunch.

The stress is causing me to eat too much at dinner and afternoon snacks.

Oh well tomorrow is another day.

Does anyone know off the top of your head if WW takes into consideration special diets? I am Gluten and mostly Dairy free.

No shame in this group Tothill. Just do your best and we all know some days are better than others. I don't know what you mean by if WW takes special diets into consideration. They have a point system and you try to stay within your points. There's no special diet you have to follow.
I just got home and we have freezing rain here. We have 1 more day above freezing and then back to reality.

thx cindy, i recieved the FQ's today. i'm doing better at leaving the junk alone. better, not the best. isn't it hard to get back to leaving all crap alone? i'm thinking about 'right now'. being good, right now. now to bed without getting into anything i hope.

Hi,

Post above posted again for some reason.

When I asked about WW and special diets, I guess I was asking if they have point values for special diets foods. Things like gluten free bread and bagels, almond milk, goats milk cheese etc. Or is there an easy way to determine the point value of different foods?

I think I need a structured program to follow, some rules and guidelines to get me back on track. I know the rules, I know portion size, I just need a kick start to get me losing.

Well, I joined WW today and could not eat all the points alloted to me! So, had to have a small bag of carmel corn and still didn't make the points. I may like this program! Wish me luck.

You don't have to hang your head in shame, we all do things we should not. tomorrow is a new day, you start over.. You can make wiser choices in what you choose to eat.

I think WW does, you could go talk to them before signing up. they may let you sit in one meeting for free. it doesnt hurt to check it out.

I had forgotten about the plan to send the FQ to you. Now that is a great idea knowing a few months in advance. Since I am behind for this month I will need to get going for next month.

I am a sometime WW member. If you buy one of their points calculators you can use the nutritional info on the back of the package to calculate the points. The leaders and other employees there have always been really helpful to me. It is a good program. I cook a lot from scratch and I love their online etools for calculating recipes. Explain to them you dietary needs and they will help you work it out. Their program is really flexible now. YOu can eat anything you want as long as you count the points.
I am wearing my skinny pants today and they fit really well. I got a couple of compliments at work today on my weight loss. That is also so helpful when the loss shows:-)
