I have a friend in Kohoku,Yokohama Kanagawa,Japan,.
anyone know if that area is affected? I'm trying to see on maps now.

Looks like that is south east of tokyo but close to water. Thoughts and prayers from here, too. I have a dear friend that is camping on the Oregon coast. She called to say the sirens went off at 4:00AM and they moved their rig to higher ground. Looks like the Tseunami hitting the Oregon coast isn't going to be bad. The highest predicted is about 7 feet. I lived on the coast and saw it at 11 feet one time.

i wish i knew where exactly my family members live! this info could be really comforting if i knew they lived nearby! i have family in hawaii too....i hate not knowing how everyone is!! i hope and pray you stay safe!!
