I have been in contact with one of our Q B forum members who lives in Tokyo and she is fine. It is just so great to have heard from her.

So here is some information: ".....'missing family' you can check with the U.S. Embassy website in Tokyo and ask the consular staff to help them make contact".

They have my heartfelt blessings and thoughts.

Several of the marinas here on the Oregon coast got hit pretty hard.....but no lives lost. The evacuations went smoothly. Mom lives in an evacuation area so I went and got her. My heart just aches for all those in Japan.

I have a friend living in the same area of Yokohama---she emailed at 3:30 AM when she and her husband had just arrived home after WALKING all the way from Tokyo for 9 hours. Trains were'mt running and the roads were closed but they're fine, very exhausted and terribly sore feet.
Hope your friend is OK too. Praying for everyone there.
