Bless her ... I don't think she sat down once the entire flotilla. I watched until her barge docked just east of the Tower Bridge.

congrats to all our friends in the UK on this happy day!! Hope to be able to visit over there someday.
I am so glad so many of you had managed to have a look at the celebrations yesterday and thank you for taking the time to reply. I am amazed that the Queen stood for so long and it was cold yesterday. I am 20 years younger than her, and I could not have stood all that time. I agree that Kate looked lovely and I think the whole day made us all realize that the Royal family are loved and respected - some of their popularity diminished at Princess Diana's tragic accident I feel. Yesterday showed us all - that it is not the case now ! There is a big concert on tonight in front of Buckingham Palace with Stevie Wonder, Elton John Paul McCartney, Cliff Richard and many others - it should be good.! I would love to come to the Bennington Museum to see the Dear Jane Quilt - which is hung in Sept/ Oct time - one day ! Dot |
I have been watching all the events and specials on BBCA and just been enthralled! Love the Queen!

Spectacular lady!!! :) |
What a wonderful event! We watched from Scottsdale, AZ. Here is the funny thing: I have been doing genealogy research on line, and have discovered that much of my family tree comes from England! I had no idea. I have traced our roots to 4 families on the Mayflower and then back to England, then amazingly....to a place called Drewsteignton in Devon (my family name is Drew). I am SO excited!!!! I can't wait for another trip to England, this time as a person "coming home" as opposed to last time when I was a tourist!
