It *might* be OK for GA.

This one is a California Poppy (eschscholzia californica)- much different family as the opium producing poppy (papaver family). These enjoy the heat, but will need a well drained area. State flower of CA I think (at least that what Hubby said).

Is it California Poppy? It's their state flower and grows wild there.
