Gardening is done, housework (ugh) is done and the house is quiet. Headed for the gazebo with some sashiko work, 3 movies and the laptop with a couple of (ahem) cool libiations (have a fridge in the gazebo as well )to enjoy a few hours of solitude of stitching.

Half your luck....It is really cold and windy here (but there is rain which we desperately need), my garden is weedy, my house needs cleaning, I have to drive down to town and buy two new sewing machine light bulbs and I can't think of anything remotely interesting for dinner! AAARGH!

OK so you don't have the three digit heat there like here in Texas. SO green. SOunds like a dream. Enjoy

I didn't say the yard was green, we are having little to no rain here as well. Temps two weeks ago WERE in triple digits...even the weeds look sick. Gazebo also is screened in, with ceiling lights and fan with large 'leaf-like' blades. It is in the center of my small wooded area - so it does have lots of shade. My special place - to read, sew, relax, meditate.

Sounds wonderful! I am staying inside as much as possible here in north central Texas-----110 today. I love the outside and miss sitting on my patio but its just too hot right now. I go feed the horses, get the mail and back in.

Boy are you lucky to have a gazebo that you can be in with this heat. With the heat index over 100 and asthma I can't enjoy my covered deck much past 8 AM.

Please post a picture of you and your gazebo. Last night we had a little bit of thunder and lightening here in Vegas. So, I gave up t.v. and just sat on the back porch but to plan a day relaxing and watching a movie with a little hand work... now that would be an E ticket day for me. Great idea
