so I have seen this that you can use in your iron that you can buy and they are pricey but I just found this recipe
2 cups distilled water
2 ounces vodka
20 drops lavender essential oil

and it makes me think can you use other essential oils? Does anyone know?

Yes, you can, but you still need the vodka, as oil and water don't mix, but the vodka helps to suspend the oil in the water. Be sure to shake it up be for putting it in your iron. I use essential oils and a cheap vodka!! lol

Not very knowledgable on essential oils, but I do know that different ones have different uses, so I would hesitate to substitute without further research.

Can you use this in a spray bottle, like the expensive spray?

I don't see why not if you can use it in your iron on your fabrics

What do you use it for? Please tell me and thanks.

Vodka for ironing you fabric?? Forget that, freeze the water, put the cubes in a glass and pour the vodka over that! Use the vinegar and water to clean the coffee pot!!

I use it for all my ironing. Not long ago DH used the bathroom in my sewing room and asked why do I keep vodka in the bathroom. I wonder what was he thinking.
