Woke up this morning to a very white world. We don't normally have so much snow settle here, only about once every 15 years so quite a novelty. Also the first time the cats have seen snow :)

clarinet87 07-24-2011 02:27 PM

So confused! Where are you that you're getting SNOW??? Send some this way!

QuiltnNan 07-24-2011 02:27 PM

amma 07-24-2011 02:28 PM

Thank you for sharing with us :D:D:D

shawnemily 07-24-2011 02:29 PM

WOW! Where are you? We are roasting!!!

mamahippychicky 07-24-2011 02:33 PM

I'm in Christchurch, New Zealand. It is winter here, but not normally like this. You are welcome to come visit...but be warned we are still getting a few earthquakes (or aftershocks) after last September.

Never a dull moment

AlwaysQuilting 07-24-2011 02:40 PM

I think it looks beautiful but glad it's not where I live. I'm not ready for it again yet.

shawnemily 07-24-2011 02:41 PM

Ohhh! I remember your posts about the earthquakes!
Take care and be safe!

romanojg 07-24-2011 02:48 PM

Now I know why it is so hot (100 + degrees) here on the east coast; can we have some of our cooler air back. You can keep the snow.

redquilter 07-24-2011 02:53 PM

Gee, I wouldn't mind a little of that right now.

QUILTNMO 07-24-2011 03:02 PM

boy i would like snow right now its was 103 here today

BeckyL 07-24-2011 03:08 PM

Enjoy this non-threatening nature event.

clarinet87 07-24-2011 03:14 PM

Of course, if we had snow here, then everyone would be complaining about that. And I'd rather not deal with another blizzard any time soon.

The grass is always greener (or the snow is always whiter??)...

alikat110 07-24-2011 03:17 PM

Ooooooh, to be cool!!!

craftybear 07-24-2011 03:33 PM

Wow, snow is so pretty and thanks for letting us know that it was in New Zealand

Maybe you should come visit us. No earthquakes here lately or snow.

blueangel 07-24-2011 07:36 PM

Sure looks good when it's 109 here

We North Americans should have guessed that you must be "down under"! Most of us are sweltering, so the photo of snow was refreshing!

This is the main reason my sister knows that I won't be up normally past October; I have 7 mountains to go over to get to Buchannon and I don't like to drive in the snow. I was beginning to worry this year because it was late and you all were still getting snow in April and that's normally when I get my first visit to my sister and then my granddaughter and great granddaughter. I was raised in the Belington/Elkins area.

shirley35 07-25-2011 05:58 AM

Enjoyed your picture, it was cooling just to look at.

Cassews 07-25-2011 06:04 AM

all I can say is be careful, don't slip or slide into anyone !LOL AND hang on for dear life if ya do slide.
Hopefully you won't have too many more aftershocks!

mhansen6 07-25-2011 06:50 AM

Oh my! I am glad I am not there. I am not ready for winter. We just started getting some good weather.

quiltaroni 07-25-2011 06:52 AM

That cools me off just looking at it

Margie 07-25-2011 07:10 AM

Keep the snow...I would rather sweat! I am NOT looking forward to winter again in Pennsylvania. Enjoying the hot, sunny summer while it lasts.

quiltpd 07-25-2011 07:20 AM

Have to ad mit - that looks pretty good right now. LOL

DebsShelties 07-25-2011 07:23 AM

WOULD LOVE that snow right now with this horrid heat going on.

BarbaraSue 07-25-2011 07:33 AM

Your cat looks like a cat I had a few years ago. He was so much fun. He was very instnctual, but not smart. He could catch mice, rabbits, and birds with one leap. But I swore I was going to take his head off with the refridgerator door!

belmer 07-25-2011 10:16 AM

Now that is a cooling photo! Please take care of yourself and family. Sending good thoughts of staying safe from those darn earthquakes.

babyboomerquilter 07-25-2011 10:18 AM

A little snow just might do to cool us off here in Ohio!

rexie 07-25-2011 10:31 AM

Is that for real or is it photoshopped? Send some to Kentucky.

penski 07-25-2011 11:41 AM

wow that is a pretty site after swelting in this heat for a couple weeks !!!!!

The greatest joy of retirement....never having to drive icy, drifting roads in dark of morning. 8-)

tryitall 07-25-2011 11:58 AM

Whoa! We are in the middle of record breaking heat wave and drought! Snow looks so nice.

caspharm 07-25-2011 12:00 PM

Your cat looks like it's enjoying the new curiosity.
