Linda, where are you?

My name is Linda. My mother said that when I was born it was the most popular name in the nation. This being due to a beautiful actress, Linda Darnell.

I was wondering how many Linda's we have here. Everywhere I go there are lots of Linda's my age (in the 60 something range). Not so many young Linda's, though.

So if you are a Linda which is Spanish for Beautiful BTW sound out!

Here! A few Linda's even in my small country school growing up - my best friend was also a Linda.

At my job now, we had a running joke that you either had to be Linda or Kathy to work there - we had many multiples!

Hi. Ladies! It is nice to meet you. Over the years I actually had a little baby named after me. I am so humbled. :o In our area I know of four Linda's with not only my first name but also my last name. Lots of confusion at the doctor's office, bank, and mail. :D

I chose Linda for my daughter born 50 years ago this year. I liked the name then and still do. I was torn between Linda and Brenda, but the family already had a Brenda, so I stuck with Linda. She likes the name too.

Another Linda here! My dad picked my name for me. I just hit the 60's group last Nov. Growing up, every year in school there were at least 3 or 4 girls named Linda in my class. I taught for 27 years and never had a Linda in any of my classes. I wonder why the name fell out of popularity?
