We had a doe in our yard. She helped herself to our garden. Haven't seen her in a while. I think she may have found a better one.

wolfkitty 07-29-2011 09:23 AM

Awwwww! How sweet! The house my husband built in the woods used to have deep round it all the time! I loved it!

2 Doods 07-29-2011 09:26 AM

She looks at home hanging out in the shade! Nice yard!
The deer wander through ours and drive the Doods nuts!

valsma 07-29-2011 09:34 AM

BrendaY 07-29-2011 09:47 AM

DebraK 07-29-2011 09:52 AM

mom-6 07-29-2011 10:12 AM

And such a beautiful green yard! All my green is weeds and stuff I'd rather not have growing back...

QuiltnCowgirl 07-29-2011 10:27 AM

What an amazing sight to see!

alikat110 07-29-2011 10:54 AM

To cute. Around Nov & Dec, when we see deer, we tell the kids that they are checking out the route for Santa...they have always loved that idea...

moonwork42029 07-29-2011 11:08 AM

Cool! All I get are bunniies & squirrels. Once I had a pheasant that must have taken a wrong turn...........

Sewfine 07-29-2011 12:10 PM

Looks like a landscape quilt in the makings.

It is hopeless to try to grow flowers or a garden in my yard. The deer eat them. Pull Pitunias up by the roots and eat the 6 foot tall sunflowers. Tulips and dafodils are gone before the flowers get on the stems. I have given up, and have beets growing in my dining room window.

blueangel 07-29-2011 01:12 PM

Love them.

dreamer2009 07-29-2011 03:53 PM

very cool !!

wolph33 07-29-2011 04:03 PM

we feed them in the winter and give them fruit and veggies leftovers and peelings all year.

Ricki 07-29-2011 04:05 PM

so pretty

BeckyL 07-29-2011 04:40 PM

I seem to be feeding them year round, whether I want to or not. They love hosta, tomato plants, swiss chard, they have even eaten cucumber and knockout roses this year. Of course, they think impatients are planted for dessert. Petunias, geraniums seem to take the place of candy.

He is a handsome devil with devil being the operative word.

oh so pretty. i love Deer. One evening about 5 p.m. i was driving in Boulder, Colorado and stopped at a light. Some deer started crossing the street!!! I waited till they went by, into an apartment complex parking lot. then i turned left and there they were crossing that street! such a pretty sight. i guess people who live around that area are used to them coming down from the mountains.

Gorgeous. Makes me miss the foothills of the Rockies in MT ... green and beautiful wild animals. Then I remember the winter.

Peggyinno 07-30-2011 06:09 AM

I would love to look out of my backyard and see that!!
Instead if I look out this morning I might see that darn armadillo that is
tearing up our yard

Lynneander 07-30-2011 06:22 AM

Amazing to see the beauty that surrounds us.

Sneed 07-30-2011 06:28 AM

How pretty these deer are...we've got a set of twins this year and a single. Many more rabbits since the ice storm a couple of years ago because of all of the limbs that fell. Now they have places to hide from the fox and coyote.

flowerjoy 07-30-2011 06:31 AM

It must give you pause to see that in the morning... nature in its finest... beautiful natural setting and an exquisite kindly animal... breathe it all in... peace.

OMG... he is gorgeous! I am in a city... I dont see these sights but I do have lots of geese and ducks... they drive my beagles crazy... lots of honking and baying... lol... wonderful sounds of life...

OmaForFour 07-30-2011 06:43 AM

Truly God's blessing! We have deer in our yard all the time here in Maine. I have two fawns coming with their Mamas this year. Last year there were 5 (two sets of twins and a single). This past winter was harsh so not so many made it.
I feed the deer in the winter. I get a special food called Wildlife Grains made by Blue Seal. It has molasses in it to keep up their body heat in the cold winter.
We have had as many as 30 come at one time in a snowstorm. Most people go away from here in the winter. We do not. Crazy or hearty I guess. LOL
