We have one an use it for long distance calls. It works great for us.

I vote No. Too much trouble, it didn't work well, too much static. Very hard to cancel. May be better now.

my brother has something like that. there is quite a delay in the transmission of the words so we are always interrupting each other. has some static, too. he likes it, though. we were thinking that we need some sort of land line as there is not one in the house for the kids. it would probably work for that as they don't have complicated conversations... just 'i got home safe' or 'can johnny come over'.

Ugh. I have never done business with them and I never will, after they made 2 unauthorized charges on my credit card! I tried calling them to get it straightened out but could not get anyone who spoke English. I ended up canceling that card and getting a new one.

We have Vonage, it's a VOIP service (only available thru internet) and it is GREAT! No surprises on the bill each month, great service, lots and lots of features. We signed up when it was with a contract - they don't even have you sign a contract anymore. Oh, and it's worldwide service, too. Just a thought.... We used to have AT&T and their service was good, but they could never (and I mean NEVER) get the billing right. We love Vonage!

I was a few years ago, but my son had it and we would frequently get cut off or dropped. Maybe it's better now, but it was a 'you get what you pay for' kind of thing, from what I saw.

Not good, it was terrible. I had to finally break down and get Comcast. We had so much static and would get disconnected all of the time. And it is true, you get what you pay for............

Not recommended!!!!!!

Mine was static galore then I also realized I had to leave computer running all the time. Talk about wasting electricity. Was probably obvious before I bought it I just never thought about it.
