That is how I make my donuts. I use Butter Milk biscuits and use a soda bottle cap for the hole. Sugar and cinnamon shake. Always wondered how Chocolate frosting would do but never tried. Problem with these donuts is if you don't eat them while hot they do get a bit tough when cold.

My dad use to make the canned biscuit donuts when I was a kid. We usually had them in the evening as a snack, we rolled them in plain sugar. There was never a problem of them getting cold because they didn't last long. There were 4 of us kids and we gobbled them up as quick as dad could get them out of the oil and they were cool enough to touch. :)
Miss my dad, he's been gone for 21 years this April. :(
