I guess women are tired of waiting for their men to pop the question and are taking matters into their own hands...

I lived with my now husband for two years. I finally got tired of it and went to the local jewelry store and picked out three rings. I went home and told him I had picked out three rings and to go choose which one he liked best or he could call me up for a date! He did! Twenty years, and four kids later we are still soul-mates. He hates it when I tell that story, though!

So how does it work.. she asks the man or goes and gets her own ring ?

She goes and picks out an engagement ring for him, and asks him to marry her...
They didn't say when or if she gets an engagement ring, though LOL

My husband said he felt like he was getting the bumm end of the deal... I got 2 rings and he only got one. That and his one is a little less then a quarter of the cost of my band. I know that there a lot of guys that wear a "Man-gagement" ring.

Micheal Buble where's one... he points it out in concert. He said it was a custom from his fiance's heritage. At least the guys want to wear the ring in the first place right?

My husband bought me a 2nd engagement ring for our 20th anniversary. He was the one that wanted it for me. I was fine with the first. Now all he says is "you got 3 rings out of me"lol ! My reply now is " don't worry I'm gonna get a whole lot more"lol! And I do!

I think it is a pretty good idea for them to have an engagement ring too... I just hadn't heard of it before...

I didn't want an engagement ring. I wanted a simple gold wedding band. For our 15th wedding anniversary DH bought me a three diamond style ring, the past present and future and had it set in a band to match my wedding band. I love it. He never wears his wedding ring. He almost lost a hand because of a ring when he was younger and has never had on another one.
