My reaction exactly!

DogHouseMom 05-04-2011 10:29 AM

The worse was the shower. It was disgusting. Not the fix but the general state of it. I wouldn't have gotten inside that shower if the fixtures worked and were made of gold.

Love the lego fix!!! Those things will probably be around long after brick has turned to dust.

TShooters 05-04-2011 10:30 AM

Good ol' duct tape. It's like The Force. It has a light side and a dark side and holds the universe together.

Would also not venture into that pool...or under that truck. Yikes!!!

2000HD 05-04-2011 10:30 AM

To funny,,,except the shower one, its gross!

craftybear 05-04-2011 10:45 AM

Rofl

Annaquilts 05-04-2011 10:47 AM

I actually liked the plastic sprinkler made out of the soda bottle. I think I will skip on the cocktail pool party. Yikes!!!!!

BellaBoo 05-04-2011 11:26 AM

It amazes me how many people do live like that.

Tink's Mom 05-04-2011 11:34 AM

I hate to admit it...but my old freezer that was in the basement had Duct tape holding the bar on for the door shelf. That freezer was 20years old when it left here.

BellaBoo 05-04-2011 11:45 AM

Never ever forget: Nothing is more permanent then a temporary fix.

Our shower head was leaking so I bought a new one and DH said he would install it. He used a metal pipe fitting between the wall and the shower head. It was bare metal and looked awful. He said it was the only fitting he had that worked. It was taken out that day. I knew if I agreed to that until he bought the one that was chrome and looked nice it would be there for ages. If something is not fixed right then I don't want it fixed at all.

we actually stopped at a motel that had a shower like that, but minus the vise-grips. They did offer to let me borrow a vise grip to turn it on. I declined and requested and got my money back.

the duct taped plastic jug for a mailbox rang a bell with me.
One winter when we had more than enough snow, we couldn't get our mailbox dug out. So in the bank of snow, I did manage to dig out a spot to sit a 5 gallon plastic bug with a USA flag taped to it, and "MAILBOX" written on the bucket. We did get our mail and paper in it.

My Dh can fix anything if you give him some caulking and duck tape. These pics look like some of his handy work

BMP 05-04-2011 12:39 PM

LOL LOL the shopping cart connected to the bike, that could be alot us if the gas prices keep going up !

PamB8s 05-04-2011 12:44 PM

okay thats some funny stuff

Stitchit123 05-04-2011 01:10 PM

OK my old fridge sported duct tape in the door and my hot water tap in my CLEAN shower had a cute little pair of vice grips these were VERY temporary fixes now I have a new fridge and bathroom--but the soda bottle is pretty clever

booklady 05-04-2011 01:14 PM

I actually liked the sprinkler idea! The BBQ grill was interesting. NO WAY would I step near that pool!!!!

Our fridge at work has broken shelves on the door. I may just get the duct tape out just so it alleviates the overcrowding. But I will do it later in the afternoon after everyone is gone!

dixiebelle162002 05-04-2011 02:05 PM

Scary!!!!

BKrenning 05-04-2011 08:16 PM

It looks like you've been visiting my husband's best friend's house. It's always an interesting experience. Like traveling to a 3rd world country without leaving this county.

javin22 05-04-2011 08:26 PM

LOL! Looks like the Red Green show.

Jim 05-04-2011 08:39 PM

you have to admit the 2 liter bottle sprinkler was ingenious...LOL

toadmomma 05-05-2011 03:32 AM

Too funny DEB

quilter1943 05-05-2011 05:10 AM

The pool, oh my gosh !!!!!!!!![/quote]

I think this wouldn't have ended well if they'd actually turned on the electricity. Some of these are really cute though. I'm thinking "fix" may not be the right word!

lillybeck 05-05-2011 05:50 AM

Please do not make me laugh so hard. lol

Caroline S 05-05-2011 05:55 AM

I laughed until I had tears in my eyes. Boy, can I relate. Can't tell you how many argument DH and I have had over his "Mr. Fixit" ideas. I eventually win the long, long argument (the only time we argue) and call a real repairman.

CarrieAnne 05-05-2011 06:00 AM

I love the Grill!
