Men have their 'Man Caves', so what can we call our space??
 

I have often wondered what we ladies can call our personal spaces.In my case it's my sewing/quilting/embroidering/crafting room... :sew:

Woman Cave just doesn't sound feminine at all to me..
Soooooo, ladies what can we call our spaces??

'Ladie's Lair',...hmmmmm..... this sounds a bit Cougarish lol
Any great suggestions we can all come up with to give a label to our spaces??

Lady's Lair sounds good or how about the Diva's Den?

oh, I can see this thread going on for years......LOL..........Queen's Castle..........Moms Playroom, or do the words have to start with the same letter??? Jennifer's Junk??? which leaves a negative thought..............Jennifer's Jewels sounds better.

I like Diva's Den, how about Nirvana, that is how I feel when I get a chance to go in to it and play.

I have always referred to my quilting room as " A room of ones' own". Borrowed from Virginia Wolfe.

The KITCHEN!! I love that men must have space in the house now. they used to have to go to the garage or the shed outside. or the den if they had money. Now they have spaces! the whole house is ours. to clean, tidy up, etc.

My immediate thoughts are the same as nativetexan's, my husband has built a detached garage and two large shed for all his stuff, plus we over-sized the garage, built a heated large workshop and he has his basement full of stuff! I have hinted for adding on a sewing room for me and I get poo-pooed! He says I can take over one of the bedrooms upstairs which would never work, my 5 dogs will follow me and it would be up and down stairs all day instead of sewing, they go in and out all day! So I have my corner of the kitchen/heath room. Nativetexan, I agree, the space I am responsible for is the entire house!

My kids have referred to my sewing space as the "Mom Cave" for years, even before Man Cave became popular!

I call my room 'The Rippit Room' I collect frogs and they are in my sewing room. Have a picture of a frog, holding a seam ripper & a piece of fabric.

I kind of like "Mom Cave" but also "Quilter's Haven" but my 1st choice is still Mom Cave.

As my sewing room/area is in the basement, I made a sign using wood blocks I found at a craft store. Painted each one a different color and attached them to a wood placque. So now when you enter into my domain, you're entering into Suz's "Toy Room".

I do believe Virginia would more than approve. Every woman needs one! Thank you.

Mine is also half of the basement...unfinished half,but has windows and walls are painted butter yellow...anyway..I have been saying sewing cave, but I have renamed it, thanks to this thread to the Queen's castle....must have permission to enter! Others that is!

Mine is usually referred to as the basement....but I call it my studio! Unfinished, but it does have a huge door wall, great view and all my favorite stuff in it!

My Wonder Cave. It keeps them wondering WHAT I am doing ! Only dog comes in uninvited but welcome.

I call my The Lady Lounge.

I refer to it as "my happy place" but that sounds a bit pathological as in "don't disturb her, she's in her happy place right now."

I call mine the kitchen. I do more sewing in the kitchen than cooking and it's my room because nobody else seems to know where it is!

My family calls my sun/sewing/ office room--THE DOG ROOM, because this is where the dogs and I live in the daytime. froggyintexas

I call mine Queen's Haven.

read somewhere, i'd give credit if I remembered, the name Babe Cave. kinda like that. in the words of paris Hilton, "that's hot!"

I go to " the Zone"...,where nothing interrupts me except frank blood,fires,or burglars.

Ivory Tower............because that elevates 'our' space over the men's messy escape place!

Resource Room!

My space is my studio, and since DH passed on I have the man cave also full of sewing stuff. I'm lovin it

I go to my drawing room, all mine.

"My Space" has been my name for my sewing haven for years. It means just that, no tool is taken out and no intrusion when I'm creating!!!
