First. My mom didn't give any of her four kids middle names. She said it would be good if we actually learned to spell our first name. HAHAHA! She didn't have much faith in us, did she?

Middle as much as possible

I use my first name as it is my ONLY name. I am the youngest of 16 kids and none of us were given a middle name. I guess it was good, cause I'm sure my parents would have run out of name by the time I came along.( eight girls and eight boys)

1st name - Judy
-or- J J |
First...although my former husband always wanted me to use my middle name because he thought it more suitable. I didn't agree...I am pretty happy with my name. Though I was almost named after my great-grandmother "Mabel Grace", whilst I loved Gran....would not have been happy being Mabel! Though I did score Grace for my middle name.

My first name.

I don't have a middle name. I'm a twin and mom and dad didn't know they were having twins until we were born. Our names are Diane and Joanne. I do have a nick name as you can see.
We were pretty much called Jo and Dani when we were growing up. Joanne pretty much went back to Joanne a few years before she past away (from breast cancer close to 20 years ago). I was going to try to go back to Diane when we moved to Washington, but there are 2 other Diane's on this street.....so I'm still Dani. (My husband calls me Diane though). |

First. My parents spelled it Cathy, but when I was 12 I was watching Ranch Party and there was a lady on named Cathie, so I changed it. There were always a bunch of us with the same name, only most of them spelled it a cute way. One of my dear friends is Kathe, which I love. Only my ob-gyn's Danish nurse ever called me by Catherine.

I go by my middle name. I don't know why my folks gave me a first name if they was going to call me by my middle name! LOL They should of just reversed them or something. LOL

First and only name. I was not given a middle name and we did not give our 3 daughters middle names and they have not given their daughters (9 total) middle names. However, they have given the boys middle names which they need. Girls use their maiden names eventually.

first ..I dont like my second and wouldnt use it at any time

no middle name .Fizzy is my nick name .( long story ) I answer to anything as long as I am not called late for lunch I don`t mind.

First name spelled backwards... My REAL first name is Ellen, but I go by Nelle...
|
I use my first name. When our first child was born it was "fashionable" in this area to name girls things such as Mary Faye, Marie Suzanne, etc. And then the child would go by the middle name because there were too many Marys and Maries around. Our daughter is one of those Maries. So she goes by her middle name, except the schools always used the first name. Very confusing. Our second daughter goes by her first name.

First name as I don't have a middle one.
I was first girl born into our family and by tradition should have been named after my father's mother, Nicolena. She was very ill before my parent's were married and told my mother not to name the first girl after her but after her daughter (Marie) who died at age 6. So much for death bed promises as I was named May, not Maire. Probably would have hated being called Nicolena when I was a kid but being called Nicky wouldn't have been bad. I have a niece named after my grandmother, but family naming has been more relaxed over the years as her name is Nicole. May in Jersey |
first, in my house growing up if you heard your middle, you knew you were in BIG TROUBLE
|
I go by my nickname.

I'm a Martha Eloise, but go by Ellie...go figure.
