Went to website on bird....couldn't get sound.....but maybe we have that little bird around here too....some days, early mornings just a cacophony of sound...but I am thankful I CAN hear them.....

We had to put up two plastic owls to keep birds away. The birds sat on the electric wires behind our house and pooped all over. The owls actually scared them away. Well except for the crows, nothing scares them and they remember you.

I love the Mocking Bird and listen all day for him and hear him often here, but the bird who ruins my serenity at night is the 'Whip-poor-will' and that one yells, no nice music, just whip poor will with the accent on the "will" on and on for hours.

mockingbirds, they get confused if there is a bright light in the area - are there any bright lights near where its singing, it could think its daylight. Thats the case in my yard, my neighbor has bright lights in his yard shining all night, and all the birds are getting confused.

I'm still laughing about the car alarm sounds. :D

We have good windows and not much gets through. I sleep with foam ear plugs to keep out any inside noises. Like one of my cats thinking I should be up or a storm coming.
I think I would enjoy hearing a mockingbird.

Just to let you know.....usually if a Mockingbird sings at/all night it is because they have no mate and are "lonely".....hard to feel sorry for them when it's outside your bedroom window....been there, done that.....but something to think about.

I go to sleep with a smile on my face when the mockingbirds sing at night. They're so amazing to me. Tiny little brains that store all those songs.

He's still keeping me up. I do wish he would find his lady-love. He hasn't given up yet. Just wondering - wouldn't you think he would get a sore throat?
