I had a co-worker who had pairs of shoes in different colors and one day she wore one black and one dark blue, at the end of the day someone noticed the difference. When she left our office and moved to a different one we gave her a going away party and bought her a gift - 2 pairs of shoes in the same style but different colors. She loved it.

I have done that too. I worked all day long and never looked down at my feet.

I always wear slippers around the house. One morning in my rush out the door to get to the school I was teaching at I totally forgot to change out of my slippers. One of my students pointed it out--we all had a good laugh about. I was just glad I wasn't wearing my big pink bunny slippers.

My husband did that one time-went to work with two very different shoes on. Work was in Washington D.C. and we lived in the burbs. His response: go out and buy a pair of shoes at a time when we were really on a tight budget. Wife not happy as she is the accountant. However, in a day or so, we did have a good laugh.

Yup! It wasn't a problem for me because I was comfortable. Most people didn't notice, and the few who did laughed with me

I did that once when I had two pairs of nursing shoes. One had a blue heart on the back of the sole and one was plain in that same area. Someone finally called it to my attention just before shift end.
|
I did it once. The heel of the shoe was slightly different. I was walking down the hallway and heard myself, click, clock, all the way and looked down and was shoe was navy blue and the other was black.

Well, it happened to my mother one time. One was tan, and the other red. She was in the doctor's office and he made some comment about wishing he had his camera.
|
I did it once with a navy/black that didn't show in dim early hours light. I lived through it, too.

Yep. Fourth grade. Getting dressed trying to decide if I wanted to wear my grey ankle boots or my black patent leather flats with my new dress. Mom said get down here its time to leave for school and when mom said get down here you better hustle. Ran down and out the door without a second thought about the shoes. By the end of the day my ankles were so sore from sitting on one foot or the other all day long. everyone noticed everyone laughed but I still tried to hide the fact by sitting on one foot or the other.
