Default Mismatched shoes

Sometimes I would buy several colors of the same style of shoes.

That sometimes would result in me wearing two different colored shoes to work. And since work was 30 miles from home, I wore them for the rest of the day.

My aunt would have noticed since she was a shoe person. I eventually noticed - around noon. Somehow the world did not come to an end.

Anyone else do this?

Yes, a friend said " I bet you have another pair at home just like that' -lol ! Wore them all day at work because home was too far away to go and change. Not many people noticed-if they did, nothing was said-ha

Oh, yeah. Been there, done that. I also buy things in several colors if I like them. I once mistakenly wore navy pants instead of black with the mostly black jacket. No one said anything so they either didn't notice or were too well mannered.

I sure have, only thing is a lot of folks noticed but not me. Finally someone told me and I just told them it was a test to find how how observant they were.

My mom always said, "I liked them both and couldn't decide what to wear." Then she laughed. Only the mean girls didn't laugh along.

I did it once as a schoolteacher. And believe me, kids notice everything. Especially girls. I mean, when you're standing at the board and they've got nowhere else they're supposed to be looking, they pay attention to your outfit, hair, shoes, jewelry --even if they don't hear a word you say.

One day, a particularly observant girl raised her hand --in the middle of a discussion on Aristotle, and I asked, "Yes, Emily? Do you have a question about his philosophies?"

"No, I don't. But I just wanted to say I can tell you have lost a LOT of weight!"

Having been working on my feet for so many years, I always kept extra pair of shoes at the shop and another in my car. One day I went to change shoes but one spare was missing. Couldn't find it anywhere. Was raining really hard that day and was in a hurry to the car. When I got home the other was sitting on the side of the driveway filled with water. I stilled had changed one shoe at work though. Yes they noticed.
