In reference to the "Wooden Bowl" fable, I bet if someone tried that with your Mom, she would either suggest they put the bowl where the sun doesn't shine or she would just toss it...in the direction of someone's head.
I did chuckle when I read the antecdote about your feisty Mom...that more of us would have that creativity and "spunk" as we become more mature (?). I bet it was a bit "nipply" for her, with just her robe on, eh? mch |
I'm looking forward to the day when I can give my kids fits by being that feisty! Laughter is good....!

Your mother reminds me of my sweet m-i-l. That little lady still does mowing, raking, picking up sticks, laundry, etc. for herself and family members next door and behind her. She cracks me up when she tells me she doesn't know why she's getting so tired all the time! She'll be 90 next April. Sounds like they'd be great friends!

Your MIL reminds me of a little lady, also in her 90s, who still works a couple of days a week in a bakery in a small town not far from me. She doesn't even LOOK like she that age!

Here's a picture of mom. I posted this before when I told the story of her learning to quilt at 83 years old. :D

That is too funny.
|
How funny! Poor dear! You painted a great picture.

yup, just as I thought...she doesn't look 85 at all. Guess that's why the neighbor will come help...but he is a bit slow ain't he?
P.S. I sure am glad she didn't climb on the roof! |
She certainly doesn't look like she's 85! I can't believe she thought about pulling the ladder onto and across the roof, then putting it down the other side. Good idea about the lock, although she'll probably never make the same mistake again. :D
