There is a salmon cruise (on a ferry) that leaves from the piers just north of downtown seattle, goes over to one of the islands. There is an native american museum and story telling ... and a wonderful salmon dinner. It is a little pricey, but I felt that I got a feel for the place even though I grew up there. And a fantastic dinner ... fresh seafood is the only seafood.

I'm only familiar with the northern part of Oregon ...
Mt Hood & Columbia River Gorge are beautiful, great hiking. In June the area should be in full bloom, so check out some of the public gardens in and around Portland. |
