They may be mutant, but they are beautiful!

That daylily is called Kwanso. It is a sterile daylily but the pollen can be used on other daylilys. For more information on daylilies, check out this website: www.daylilies.org.

I would love to get a division from that plant and put it in my garden in Oregon...then we could consider them "bookends".

Those are really beautiful.

I remember all the ditch lilies in Tennessee. It is a beautiful state, and full of wonderful people. I lived there for just over a year.

I brought some "ditch" lilies home from my Mom's to add to my 8 varities in my garden. It will be a few years before I'
ll see if mine are double.

Those are cool! You should make sure you keep the seeds that you get from them!!! You might be able to make a few bucks!!

We have daylillies like that. They were here when we moved in 19 years ago. I call them the double petaled daylillies. After much transplanting, we now have them all over our yard.

We've not had problem with them being invasive. Maybe because we're so far north? They seem to stay where we plant them and don't seem to spread any faster then our other daylilly varieties. We have many as we've been planting mostly daylillies for years now. We find them pretty maintance free only needing some deadheading and cleanup at the end of the season.

Beautiful, mine died out with the drought.
