I've been cutting on it for about a week. This is the 4th year and it's producing more than we (2) can eat.

Thanks for posting. Love your garden area. My dad would grow asparagus and this reminded me of his. So good to eat and healthy too. Enjoy! I cant have a garden here in New Mexico. Too many deer, rabbits and it is so dry. I have some earthboxes that I grow tomatoes in, that is about it.

Just love fresh asparagus but it might be a while before we have any. It was only 20 degrees this morning with a freeze warning until 10 am. I got spoiled with the warm weather we had in March.

I just ate the first sprout out of my garden... I planted the corms 2 summers ago... not prolific yet. Wish it was like yours :)

I was told to let it go to seed the 1st two years and than cut no more than 50% the third year. The concern being that it would die out if not given those years to establish itself.

I don't know if thats right, but it worked for me, so far.

We had asparagus when we lived in Roswell. It is so delicious!!!
