Wow Kathi, what a wonderful Christmas gift. The gift of life and a second chance. Praise The Lord you and your family knew to call for an ambulance right then. I hear there is abt a one hour window to receive that medication. I've had Christmas in January before, tree and all. So glad your hubby is doing well, will continue to give prayers. Blessings always

Best wishes for your hubby's recovery. That had to have been scary for you and your family. I'm glad the prognosis was good.

Prayer is a wonderful and powerful thing!!! All my prayers and everyone else who sent them my way have been answered. My DH is doing really well and hopefully the visit to the vascular surgeon goes well and they schedule the surgery soon so I can stop worrying every second of the day. I know I'll feel better when that artery is cleaned out!! Thanks again for all your prayers, well wishes and advice!! You folks will never know how greatly appreciated it truly was!!!

PLEASE learn the signs of a stroke. If you think someone may be having one, do this simple test.

1- Ask them to raise both arms equally
2. Ask them to smile
3. Ask them to say a simple sentence.

If you see they have difficulty doing any of these tasks, get them to the ER right away!!

PS - strokes are not just for old folks, people of any age can have strokes, even children and babies.

Amen, Sister! My Mother had a major stroke 7/3/10 and still has not regained all her speech yet. May never, but she is still with me at 87 y/o. Will be 88 y/o in Feb.
