My daughter's wonderful gift!
 

My daughter has really filled me with joy (and made me teary too!)
She is a retired elementary teacher, and is writing a children's book about me. My nickname is "Bebe", and she says that she thinks I do many kind things. The book will probably have the title, "Bebe's Kindnesses." In the book every time I do a kindness a square is added to a quilt so that the quilt grows and grows!

I have never had such a tribute, and don't really have a lot of self-confidence about how people regard me. I am 84 years old, and still can't believe she is doing this!

My nickname is also Bebe -- I was the baby and thought that was what my name was. I absolutely hate getting addressed by my real name. When someone writes it or calls me that, I know they aren't a friend. I'd much prefer being called by my last name.

A lot of daughters think their Moms are wonderful but are not book writers.

What a truly remarkable and wonderful gift. I love it when my kids surprise me with a thank you note or other loving remembrance, made it all worthwhile; but my kids are now grown, married and in good careers, plus we have a nearly 6 year old DGD who is the apple of our eye, and such a bright, loving sweetheart.
