Its hard to choose, I like red lobster and chillies, I love shrimp, but cooked different ways. I always get Shrimp Scampi at red lobster, and at chillies I get Shrimp alfrado. Yum Yum!

My fav is Joe's Crab Shack. I absolutely love crab legs, and I finally get filled up there! Their chocolate cake is awesome, too.

Callahan's Mountain Lodge on the Siskiyou Pass outside of Ashland Oregon. It is an Italian Restaurant and Lodge. My husband and I have been going there for 38 years. It is where we had our first date. It burned down 5 years ago, but thankfully they rebuilt and it is better than ever. I love it.

hperttula123 02-22-2011 07:28 AM

my favorite is Leno's. It's a sub place in Waukegan, Ill. They make the best subs. We only go there like once or twice a year, but they are great.
We don't eat out very often. I'd rather spend my money on quilting supplies and just make meals at home.

Mickie612 02-22-2011 07:50 AM

Just about anywhere I don't have to cook. I am not a bad cook, just getting lazy in my old age.

I prefer Red Lobster or the Outback or Joes Crab shack..however, all we have in this town is Mexican or Applebee's or chinese buffet's...lots of buffets

So I usually like HOME best...since having weight loss surgery it is difficult to eat out and way too costly!

clair 02-22-2011 02:37 PM

Olive Garden is great, but I can't drive 2 1/2 hours to go eat.

Nan Quilts 02-22-2011 05:23 PM

In Concord, CA it has to be Golden Willow for Chinese--the absolute best and they always make you feel like family. In SoCal it has to be El Torito in Irvine for Mexican. My son is GM there, so I might be a little prejudiced! For BBQ the best is when my DH pulls out the smoker and does ribs or salmon. mmmmmmm the best and made with love too!

adrianlee 02-22-2011 06:00 PM

Steaks from beef we raised and cooked on the grill just can't be beat. Love the Golden Corral in Amarillo Tx. They have the best 'home cooking' side dishes on their buffet. I get to eat there about once a year when I go see my mom.

DONK 02-22-2011 09:26 PM

O'CHARLEYS. Love their loaded potato soup and rolls

DH and I like to find independant restaurants, esp. if traveling. There are some local places that I like, a neighborhood place Wildflower cafe, Mozart's, owners are from Vienna, and Chatalaine, owners are from France, these 2 are bakery and authentic cafes. Had really good pizza at Lorenzo's in Oberlin. Now I'm hungry too and should have gone to bed an hour ago. If I ever get to Oxford Ma I'm gonna try to get to Carl's diner.

We used to love County Line BBQ in Littleton, they closed, so now we have to go to Albuquerque! Needless to say we don't make it there very often, twice in the last 10 years. They have the best potato salad, I found a copy cat recipe for it so I can make a good facsimile at home.
