Hi Everyone, :(
I haven't posted in a long while. Life has been challenging for quite some time now. I am writing to you to ask you to gather your hearts and pray for my granddaughters who were born three months early and are fighting for their lives right now. They suffered from twin to twin transfusion syndrome. They are small but the doctors say they are fighters, but can use all the prayers we can find. Their names are Sophie and Mia. Please help us and put them in your hearts. Thank you.

Mardi I'm so sorry your family is going through this. Your two precious angels will be in my thoughts and prayers.

Will be praying for your granddaughters! The things they can do today is so wonderful. We have had three in neonatal intensive care over the last few years and one of them was one of our twins. Not as serious as yours but I have seen babies in crisis in there and they have pulled them through.
Jesus is with them watching over them as they struggle through this crisis. May he surround you all with love and comfort!!

Looking forward to the day they get to come home!!

Thoughts and prayers going your way for
your babies!

The doctors can do sooooo much with these
micro premies these days.

I had a child in class (PreK-SpEd) whoose
birth weight was 1 pound 12 ounces and she
was and is just thriving! (all caught up in all
area, I might add, although still a little small)

Hang in there---HUGS

Your family and especially your two DGD's are in my prayers.

zyxquilts 06-09-2009 08:13 PM

Healing & Strength vibes on their way to your grands. My friend Juline's gd, also Sophie, was just 1lb, 13 oz at birth, and now has just turned six & gosh is she a lil pistol! She's strong, smart as a whip, a bit on the petite side, but that doesn't stop her at all! May your Sophie & Mia be the same. :D

jacquemoe 06-09-2009 08:28 PM

Mardi, know that my prayers are with you and those little babies.

Days go by so slow now. I used to wish time would stand still. I want the summer to be over because that would bring us to the girls due date Sept. 3. They are struggling and I watch my daughter stay brave and strong. Please don't stop praying and hoping for us. If anyone knows any websites or books or help we can look into please let us know.
Thanks again and may you all sleep surrounded by the angels.
Mardi

Lisa T 06-16-2009 07:15 PM

Have you asked the hospital for more information about this condition?? Do they have a social worker there that can help you find info or put you in touch with a support group or other organizations??? All of this was made available to us by the hospital/staff when my twin grands were born premature and when my nephew was born with a critical condition.
