My new "Potholders"
 

My inspiration goes to francie yuhas, one of our dear members here. Her post "quilt joke" gave me the idea. So off to ebay for some fabric, a few days waiting for it to arrive and a few hours sewing. I have 4 new "pot" holders

The machine is a replica of a Singer 99, my Aunt gave it to me before she passed away. The gnome guy is a cutie. :)

As soon as I saw the title of this thread, I immediately thought of the original post you referenced. These are great.

I have that same sewing machine, it is set up for a treadle, bought it that way and it is a beautiful machine. I never use it but would not take for it. Might just add a motor to it and use it, lol.

We'll shows how dense I am......read and looked at pic and said...huh? So went back and clicked on reference....OH! But, I still didn't know there was/is a print like that. Cute, for those who recognize the plant...unlike me, who did not.....and don't think my friends or family would either....but, would be interesting to see looks on faces if given a "potholder"........ Hmmm, April Fool around the corner! Did you say eBay has fabric? I just may......

Laughed out loud!! DH used to have an Egyptian style machine like that - used it so much he not only wore the decals off the black paint, he wore the black paint off the metal.

Love your "pot"holders. I once bought some batik fabric that I thought had pot plants on it but was assured by my children that the plant had too many leaves for it to be pot. I thanked them for the assurances and walked away shaking my head and wondered how they knew. One was in 8th grade and the other in 5th grade.

My mom is a dyed-in-the-wool hippie so I picked up some of this fabric awhile ago thinking I'd make something for her out of it, I bet she'd get a kick out of "potholders"...though she may take the name too literally and ask me where the zipper is! :D

I'm fairly up to date on the laws in Colorado. We are in Arizona and we have medical pot available now. I've asked my doctor and he says he will not write a prescription for me. I think it would take my mind off my troubles with diabetes. Maybe I should search for a different doctor.
