My sister hasn't been up in over 2 years and I only see her at Thanksgiving. (She's from St Louis) But my DH is going on a fishing trip and she's coming up for a long sewing weekend!! Carrying her sewing machine on the plane and putting the rest in checked bags....except her AccuQuilt Go dies - her DH is shipping those for her (wait 'til he picks up that box!!).
A fun time we'll have staying up sewing til we can't see anymore, shopping for whatever we want (fabric of course) and eating what and when we want. I better go get the biggest bag of M&M's there is.....She's not coming until Spt 8 but I'm so excited I just had to tell someone!! |

I am so jealous.....I have a sister that sews, but she lives in KY, me in Indiana. I have 4 girls and none of them have picked up the quilting bug. So I quilt alone and use them for quilt inspectors. They all like the quilts I make and all of them have them on their beds! What I wouldn't give to have a sister close to me to have the time to chat and sew. :cry: :cry:

You are sew lucky! DM and I sew together sometimes, though, so I cannot be too jealous.

The only sister I have is 22 yrs younger and we have Nothing in common -wish I had someone like that to sew or something with. She maybe wishes the same.

Wow.. You will have a great time.. Wish my sister sewed.. I'm going to MO to hang out on my friends farm , but I'm also helping her with a memory quilt.. One of my favorite parts is hanging with her mom who is a quilter.. Love picking her brain..

My sister comes up for a visit once a year from Virginia. I love it when we spend the night up late, chatting and sewing. I always wish we lived closer to each other.

That is really nice. My oldest sister and I get together once a month and sew, we only live 2 hours away from each other so we can do it more often. Enjoy your sister while you can, my other sister lost her battle with lung cancer in Feb, she lived 1400 miles away so I did not get to enjoy her near as much as I wanted. Sisters are such an important part of your life.

The M&M's made me laugh I'm going to my sister's in two weeks in W.V. to sew she allways has M&M's for me.

None of my sisters quilt and only 2 sew. I don't care, I would be in heaven if they came to visit. They would have to tie me down and gag me if they wanted to get in a word edewise. That's how excited I would be.
