this is a pic of my grandson, blake, and our newest baby who does not have a name; he is two weeks old and is a bottle baby, please help us name him!

Jim's Gem 09-02-2010 07:38 PM

What a cutie!! Both of them.
I am not good at naming cows. All our dogs are named after Mountain Peaks.

cjomomma 09-02-2010 07:39 PM

Awwwwwww!!!! How cute. Sorry I can't think of a name.

bearisgray 09-02-2010 07:43 PM

Quiltforme 09-02-2010 07:54 PM

My oldest said Drew. Middle said Dexter. Son says to call it Bob.

grammyp 09-02-2010 07:59 PM

How about Charcoal, seems to fit. They are both very handsome.

wolfkitty 09-02-2010 08:01 PM

You could call it Coal or Cole (as in Charcoal) or Cinder. I like Cinder.

Rascal

when I was little and lived on a farm we had an angus cattle, the bull was named Rascal, he was a big pet, we could go out in the pasture and pet him, played with him, he would lay down and we would sit on him and he was so tamed

that pictured remined me of Rascal.

when he was born we had to bring him into the house in a small room to bottle feed him, it was winter time and had to keep him warm

Yvette48 09-02-2010 08:02 PM

If he dosen't change color when he gets older, how about Midnight.

wolfkitty 09-02-2010 08:03 PM

Or Midnight

MissM 09-02-2010 08:06 PM

How about:

Blackie

Black Magic

Smokey

Miracle

wolfkitty 09-02-2010 08:10 PM

Did you use a new camera? the date says 2006.

Ditter43 09-02-2010 08:16 PM

He looks like a "Blackie" to me! :D

texas granny 09-02-2010 08:22 PM

He should be named after someting to do with Texas Like Tex
or D U K E after John Wayne
When he get a few days older let us see him then. they change so fast. We wouldn't want to name him and have him out grow it

kwiltkrazy 09-02-2010 08:24 PM

kiwi---black shoe polish

GrammaNancy 09-02-2010 08:30 PM

How about "Too Cute for Words"? They both are.

cindy in texas 09-02-2010 08:32 PM

niizh 09-03-2010 04:24 AM

What type calf is he. Black Angus, Herford, etc. Looking at his head, I would call him Tank

pocoellie 09-03-2010 04:29 AM

How about Midnight?

sewgull 09-03-2010 05:00 AM

Max

raptureready 09-03-2010 05:14 AM

Oooo, I like Tank. That's a good one, Niizh

PuffinGin 09-03-2010 06:52 AM

Gordie, after the Gordon Setter, because it looks like he's got both black and brown on him. Yes, I know he's not a dog but that's what came to mind. Maybe it could be Gordie after Gordon Lightfoot. Is he lightfooted?

Annaquilts 09-03-2010 06:56 AM

Hershey

grann of 6 09-03-2010 06:59 AM

With my dogs I named them according to their "nationality". Heidi is a Great Dane (German). Gus is short for Gustav Augustus, because my grandkids couldn't decide which they liked best. Gus is a Rottweiler mix, also German. Your calf looks like a black angus, Scottish or Irish. So think of maybe Mactavish or just Angus, something like that. I like unusual names for my pets.

Melanie S. 09-03-2010 07:00 AM

Charger
Ranger
Maestro
Bob (Bob is always my go-to name :-) )

raptureready 09-03-2010 07:07 AM

Since he's a bottle baby could it be he's Like No Udder! LOL

quiltee 09-03-2010 07:12 AM

Bosco

CarrieAnne 09-03-2010 07:17 AM

Oh, I love Midnight. VERY cute!

Lisa_wanna_b_quilter 09-03-2010 08:02 AM

You've got to name it after the characters in the Cowboys of Moo Mesa cartoon!

MadQuilter 09-03-2010 08:29 AM

T-Bone

jeannie t 09-03-2010 08:48 AM

pookie ookie 09-03-2010 09:04 AM

He looks like Gregory Peck to me, too.

BRenea 09-03-2010 09:11 AM

We had a bull named Jet (like the stone, or jet-black)...or how about Onyx, or Pitch (pitch-black)? I've raised many bottle babies in my day!

lovequilts 09-03-2010 09:18 AM

I like Moo Moo

mytwopals 09-03-2010 09:29 AM

Call him ribeye, porterhouse, sirloin or hamburger. That's what he'll end up as, unless you plan to keep it forever as a pet. I was taught never to give a pet's name to a future food item.

feline fanatic 09-03-2010 09:33 AM

T-Bone.

Oh I should have read all the responses before answering, I see mad quilter said the same

Great minds think alike

Ripped on Scotch 09-03-2010 10:19 AM
