Not the last person :) we are on measured broadband, generous enough to do the things we need to do on-line, but not for Craftsy or Netflix by a long shot. If I still have at least 1GB toward the end of the month I watch a Bonnie Hunter quilt cam.
We haven't had a TV for at least 10 years, and I doubt wi-fi will ever be available here in the boondocks

I don't have anything in my sewing room to watch t.v. It would be too distracting to me. I occasionally listen to a book on tape or music. We have netflix, hulu and Amazon prime. That is all through streaming through a roku box. We watch Hulu the most, hands down. I like Netflix for commercial free viewing. We watch Amazon the least. We have been watching some Australian t.v. series that we love through hulu. We don't watch but a couple of shows in the evening. I still keep up with Grays Anatomy and a couple of other current shows, but my hubby could care less about most of them. He does watch The Voice with me once it gets to the last several weeks.
We gave up on direct tv etc. Too darn expensive. Our entertainment costs less then $20 a month now!!!

I have a question those with Netflix might be able to answer. We have direct tv and still have some time on our contract. I want to cancel it and get Netflix but my dh is concerned about sports channels. He loves his football. Will be still be able to get it or is it just for watch tv and movies? Thanks, Gina

There's no sports on Netflix that I know of. Just movies, TV episodes, documentaries, etc.

I cut the cord almost two years ago. I watch Netflix on my iPad and through my iPad onto my TV all the time. I have a smart tv and did not want to buy a Roku or Apple TV, but sometimes I want to watch programs on a bigger screen than my iPad. I did some research and found that Apple makes an adapter that allows the iPad to be connected to the TV using only a hdmi cord. The adapter is $35 or $40 and I got a cord at Five Below. It works great and the great part is that I can move it easily, using it on all the TV's in the house and take it with me when I travel. I love Netflix. I will be in trouble if and when the cable company no longer offers unlimited streaming for a reasonable price.

We love Netflix we also have the Apple box. I like to have the classics on, don't really watch them cause I've seen them but like the stories. With the apple I can watch youtube demos on the big screen or listen to music. Nothing good for us on regular TV.

I love Netflix and watch it on regular TV. We love the English shows like Downton Abbey etc. Also got into some really good English stories about detectives in Wales and Germany. I think you could try it and if you don't like it, cancel it, it is very easy to start and stop.

We have had Netfix for several years now. You can watch it on your TV ( with a smart TV, Roku, or an Apple TV box) you can also watch with your IPad or IPhone. Love, love it! If ut were up to me, I would cancel our Satellite and only use Netflix and a TV antenna for local channels. But Hubby likes jus Satellite!

Boy, I guess I am in the Stone Age ......roku, Hulu, Zulu, net flex,..........we have the cable company package of tv, wifi, house phone...that's it....I have a semi-smart phone, iPad, don't watch tv programs or movies on either of these.....only games I play ( on phone) scrabble/solitaire, iPad recipes---- maybe, and this..and a few searches, sometimes......tv in living room is main source of entertainment...watch a few series, usually on demand, no tv in bdrm, but do have radioes in kitchen, bdrm and sewing cave(also a tv there).....so my technology is very primitive, maybe someday will look into all that other stuff.......

I am with the rest of the answers..I have both Netflix and prime..I use them both..I think for 7.99 what is not to like..u can watch .add free..series..movies..and more..the only bad thing ..is they don't change often..or add new often I don't think.prime has about the same as flixs..but as said u can rent movies from them also..I binge watched justified..yesterday on prime..13 ..45 minute long each ..I do this once in a while..put usually ..I only turn on the t.v.at night..also u can watch most ..abc..nbc..Fox ..other stations on your computer's..or iPad just like flixs or prime for free..personally I do not watch while I sew..but if I did all of these could be watched by computer or kindle or ipad..plus the flixs and prime u can stream to your big t.v. by using one cable..it plugs into the computer and t.v.cost about 15_16.dollars..if u have a smart t.v. it is built into the set..older t.v.buy a wifi DVD player..it streams..Netflix..and 3-4 others..one time cost of 120.00 or less at wal mart..just have to make sure it says wifi on the box..many..many ways to go..but again for 7.99 a month ..even if u don't use it all the time..that is like buying a roast for one meal..only this u get every day..
