As some of you know we lost Sassy to cancer last Aug..and our house was not the same anymore. Dh was reading our local paper and found this girl! Meet Babe a Border Collie X Austrailian Sheppard she is one out of 11 that were from a first time mom!!! |
I just love picture #2, she looks like she's growling back saying "I ain't scared. Now let's lay down and take a nap.

Awe they are so cute together. Good Luck
|
Adorable puppy and very pretty golden.
|
Awe they are just beautiful, both of them. Thanks for sharing
|
What a pretty puppy, and that last picture is so precious. I have to wonder what was going on in the second photo - was the golden somewhat resistant to the puppy initially? Well, looks like that got resolved quickly.
|
What wonderful pics. Friends and nap buddies (smile). Thanks for sharing.
|
They get along great, that is the carrying on when they play. Amy is so tollerant of the pup. She lays down and lets the pup crawl all over her. After all this rough housing the two will cuddle up and go to sleep....

LOVE your pictures!!! Thanks for sharing. Our new pup is presently in her Mommy's belly :-) I can't wait to see her in person haha Hopefully she will get along fine with my other dog like yours :-)

How cute! I'm not sure if the goldie is hugging her or holding her still so she can get some sleep in #3...haha.

aaaw so cute. We have our daughter's newfoundland (130 pounds) visiting and our beardie and the newf are inseparable. If only people could get long so well!! Wouldn't the world be a better and safer place? Oh, to learn from the animals

I haven't read the entire thread so I apologize if this has been said before. Time and time again Border Collies are said to the most intelligent of all the breeds and the ones I've had the pleasure of having been around, who've had great training, have been undeniably brilliant!
Congratulations on your new 'Babe'....she caught the brass ring of a loving home! It said, "That getting another pet after a beloved pet has passed on is NOT a replacement for the dog that has gone to the Rainbow Bridge, but is filling the empty place left in our hearts that our beloved pet left." |
I like that saying for no dog could ever replace Sassy..she was one in a million and each dog has their own personality.
These two do get along just dandy, Amy is 7 yrs old and has a lot of patience with the new pup. I had Borders on the farm and they can out think you!! They are a smart dog and lots of fun to have.

Adorable!!! We too got a new puppy this year after our beloved Genna succumbed to cancer-they're definitely like one of the children though this one's toddler antics can be a bit trying Congratulations
