My DSIL called me into the bathroom and asked if I did it. No ma'am! When she first found it, she had just lifted the lid and it was wrapped around the seat. My brother promptly came home with two friends who quickly fished it out and got rid of it. I usually tell my niece that boys are yucky, but not this time!

pamkasperi 04-18-2011 05:42 PM

I would be moving out of that house quicker than you could blink...

Up North 04-18-2011 05:42 PM

No more bathroom for me I will use a pAIL!!

CloverPatch 04-18-2011 05:44 PM

oh gee thanks! no more peeing in the dark for a while!!
Before we moved in we found snake skin in two rooms, never found the snake. I am not going to sleep well tonight!

lisainmo 04-18-2011 05:47 PM

OMG I hate snakes!!

luvTooQuilt 04-18-2011 05:47 PM

Ugh.. And I have the Eebbie jeebies with bugs!! If I ever saw THAT in my house, WE ARE MOVIN!!!

mimom 04-18-2011 05:48 PM

what kind of snake is that?

Gramof6 04-18-2011 05:48 PM

That is a scary thing! OMG I would never be able to go in there again! LOL

okiepastor 04-18-2011 05:54 PM

Give thanks you did not step on it in the night!

A friend in Wyoming stepped on a rattler in his hallway in the night--he had forgotten to shut the patio door . Fortunately, the night up there were pretty cool and the snake was too sluggish to strike. Would you believe that from then on, his wife would not allow him to turn off the hall light at night? :<)

mhansen6 04-18-2011 06:06 PM

I would have had my husband plug the toilet up permanantly. I HATE snakes. That would freak me out forever.

Painiacs 04-18-2011 06:07 PM

Eeeeewwwssssswwwww!

It was 34.5 inches long and came up through the septic, passed my brother's bathroom, probably because it was too icky in there, and curled up on hall potty! My SIL is thinking about coming home with me for the night!

This is how it was when my SIL lifted the lid

I think your SIL is thinking clearly by going home with you and if I were her - I wouldn't be going back until I had a certified notarized letter saying my house was snake free...and even then stepping back into that bathroom would be an issue....I'm still freaking out over the 3 mice we found in my garage when we cleaned it out - that's why my garage as a sewing room as stalled...

Annaquilts 04-18-2011 06:20 PM

Ughhhhhhhh! was it going into the potty to drink or are snakes coming up out of their potty? Yuck and yuck again. I would not be able to sit on the potty any more.

cheryl rearick 04-18-2011 06:23 PM

oh my I think I'd have died right there. I've heard that in some areas snakes do come up through toilets... I can't imagine.... oh me oh my.... heat attack

Up North 04-18-2011 06:24 PM

Mice in the house do not bother me and even tho I can live with snakes not in my house please! I had Gertie the garter snake in the flowers for a few years till the dog decided Gertie had to go.

oatw13 04-18-2011 06:24 PM

Eeeewww! That is so gross. I would always look twice before using a bathroom again!

owlvamp 04-18-2011 06:25 PM

sewnsewer2 04-18-2011 06:26 PM

EEEEKKKKKK! That's why I always look before I sit.

amandasgramma 04-18-2011 06:37 PM

One thing about it -- if I saw that in my toilet, I wouldn't worry about using the toilet!!! It'd be all over the floor!!! ARRRRRGH!

DogHouseMom 04-18-2011 06:38 PM

Generally I like snakes, but not that kind, and cerainly NOT in my toilet!! EGADS.

sueisallaboutquilts 04-18-2011 06:47 PM

They freak me out more than any other creature. I'd be gone and I mean it!

Get a pair of cats. We used to have mice when we first married, but almost immediately got a kitten who was a savage hunter, never ever saw another one in the house. We've always had at least one cat over the years. No mice. No snakes, cats get them too.

Ramona - we have a cat and thus no mice in the house but even she wouldn't go into the garage...which she occassionally liked to sneak out there but not for the last few weeks - that was my first clue it needed a good cleaning - well that and the piles and mounds of junk and the fact we only had a 2 foot path to walk in....

jmabby 04-18-2011 07:53 PM

My daughter always says I should close the lid for this very reason, maybe I'll listen to her, especially the basement one.

ChubbyBunny 04-18-2011 08:10 PM

 OMG!!! I would have had a heart attack or passed out!!!

Leota 04-18-2011 08:23 PM

And I was freaking out with finding a Black Rat Snake in my storm shelter.... I'd really freak if I found a snake in the house.

SueDor 04-19-2011 02:17 AM

How awful! At least the snake showed himself before she sat down. I am getting chills just thinking about it.

Lv2sew2011 04-19-2011 02:24 AM

This reminds me when I live out in the country, I was fixing to wash the dishes and reach down under the sink to grab the dishsoap and almost grab a black snake, I ran screaming all the way outside until someone removed that snake and made sure there were no more! Scared to death!!! ewwwww I hate snakes....

Diana Lynne 04-19-2011 02:50 AM

I think I would of freaked!!!! No, I know that I would of if that was in my toilet..or even in my house..I never turn my bathroom light on at night if I have to get up..BUT, I will now :P

patchitpat 04-19-2011 03:36 AM

gosh I would have lost my bladder right there or on the way out while I was screaming, either that or had a heart attack. I hate those ugly varmints.
