3 Attachment(s)
My son married a lady with a little girl and boy. for the wedding, I smocked my first dress. I had learn how to smock when I was expecting him about 32 years ago. He got one outfit before my husband said he could not wear them anymore.
Little Sara really liked her dress, so did Momma. |
Absolutely precious, both the dress and that little smile!!
The dress is darling!! So is the little darling wearing it. You did a great job!!!
Beautiful!...and no easy task. Precious little girl.
How sweet, both the dress and the model!
both are very nice :)
That is beautiful! Learning to smock is on my bucket list. However, I only had boys so I never got around to learning. Now I'm expecting our first grandchild. If it's a girl, learning to smock will move up the list!

A really cute dress and little girl. Love her smile.
That is gorgeous! And she looks thrilled with it! Nicely done.
Love the dress!!!!
That is beautiful, I would have no idea how to even attempt something like that!
Great job - and the sweet smile is a precious reward.
What a beautiful dress for a beautiful princess.
Beautifully done!
And beautiful little one as well. When DD was little I made several smocked garments for her. They were fun to do. |
What a wonderful job you did. Both the young lady and her dress are beautiful. 38 years ago I married my husband who had a son from his first marriage. My Mom and Dad accepted Shane right away and always treated him like the wonderful guy he is, not as a step but as one of the Grands. Your show of love is priceless.

Beautiful-the dress AND GD,
She likes her dress and her new Grandmother. I do too
Cute cute little girl and love the dress! Where would one go to learn how to smock I want to learn so I can make granddaughters some sun dresses!
very nicely done
The dress is just beautiful - you did a wonderful job with the smocking. Your granddaughter looks so sweet in it.
The dress and the model/wearer/owner are adorable. You did a stunning job. My son's christening outfits both had smocking. The men had fits even though there were no flowers. Told the guys the smocking looked like lattice fencing. That shut them up!
That is sooo sweet! You've done a wonderful job!
So sweet, both dress and child.
It's a beautiful dress!!! Her smile says it all!! She loves it! What a wonderful way to welcome the kids into the family!
Just darling!

What a beautiful dress. How special that you made it for this cutie and that she got to wear it for the wedding. It's an heirloom for sure.
Gorgeous! ( Sigh...oh for a granddaughter, a grandchild...a wedding? My boys are just too independent. I wonder who made them that way?)

Lovely. I haven't done smocking in years! Need to do it again--it was a lot of fun.
