I remember doing those in Girl Scouts. I still have a few.

I have a few too. No idea where I got them but they are definitely 70's or 80's colours.

But I especially like the padded wooden hangers that my mother made me many years ago. It is hard to find wooden hangers anymore, so when my DD moved into their (new to them) house and discovered a basement closet full of old hangers--dozens of wooden ones--I kindly offered to get rid of them for her :D. Now all my shirts and Tee's hang with nicely rounded shoulders.

I still make them and my DD and grandchildren all make them. They last for years.

Got me in the mood to make some. I probably won't crochet but great way to use up the scrap stash and scrap batting.

I personally have never made those, but my babysitter(decades ago) made a number of them for me, and I still have them, 40 years later, they're still in great shape.

My great auntie used to make these by the dozen. She loved keeping her hands busy at night while watching tv. We have several of them, and they're great for sweaters and blouses that you don't want hanger marks in the shoulders.

I still have some too. I think we started with 2 balls of yarn, each 6' long and just wove through the loop, like crocheting, but with our hands. We made them with Gram during her illness - and now I'm the Gram.

Thanks for the reminder. I think I have a couple in the back of my closet. Will have to make more for my slippery items.

You can purchase covered hangers that are not very expensive. More time to quilt!
