Non-slip hangers

Who remembers doing these? My elderly aunt has been hinting for some of these, so I finally dedicated some time to do them for her. She's so appreciative. Doing them on the wire hangers was much easier than the thick plastic ones.

I still have some that my cousin's grandma did with knit fabric. They were done with a 4 way strand weave I think.

I have a few in my closet that I made. Mine went up and around the hanger handle also. I remember it was made with yarn and on the old wire hangers.

I still have the ones my mom made -- love them.

In the seventies I made a set using a thin foam and wrapping it round.

i used a crochet hook and found it difficult to hold the hanger at the right angle and get the hook around the hanger. my aunt said that she used to do them with her fingers.
