Keep up the prayers! I think she feels them working.Today Morgan had a great day, I was able to offer her presents for shaking yes and No, we put our finger to our lip to indicate shhh if something is to loud,...we sat and just communicated for hours....I got her to show me the difference between feeling funny, (numbness from the stroke) pain, and itchy, and she even was able to throw a ball to me using her good arm! We painted her nails, and thanks to the lovely nurse who brought her in make up we put make up on too...It's amazing how far she has come in days...it's all things you and I take for granted..but she now needs to re-learn...I am one happy and proud mommy :)

Jaime, so glad to hear the good news. Be sure to keep us posted - even a few lines makes us feel better! Most of us are probably mothers and fathers, but few of us have gone through what you are going through, but we feel for you - me - like a grandparent of Morgan. No child or parent should have to deal with this, but you are handling it very well. Remember to take care of yourself too - you need to be in good health to care for all your kids! That is the mother in me telling you what to do!!! LOL Much love to you and Morgan and everyone!

It sounds like progress is happening slowly but surely, Jamie!

We are all behind you and soooooo glad that Morgan is doing
better. I am particlarly glad that she is abe to communicate
some. That in itself has to make you feel better.

Sending big hugs and a reminder to you, Mom, to take care
of yourself too.

(being a Mom is the hardest job in the world but the BEST one, too!)

I'm glad to hear Morgan is progressing. Bless you both.

Jamie I have gone through what you are going through tho it was my husband and not my child. It is a long slow process and will be hard at times. But it puts your priorities in a whole differant order. You won't take things for granted anymore but will be aware of each wonderful step forward with your other children as well as Morgan.
It is so wonderful that she is progressing! I remember the day my husband had his accident as if it were yesterday.(32 years ago!) He can't remember it at all. He flipped a fork lift at work and sustained a brain injury. He was in a coma for a week and for two more weeks did not know what he was saying or doing. Didn't know he was married didn't know he had kids and when we were allowed to take them in he thought they were cute but didn't know them.
I have a lot of stories I won't bore you with but i feel for you and know the Lord has his hand on you and I do understand the feelings you are going through. Hang on to your husband and make sure you go through this together. Communication is very important! You are so blessed to have your DH to help you through!
Will continue to pray for you and your family!

when she starts being aware - put up pictures of the WHOLE FAMILY - and go over the pictures over and over, telling her who everybody is - even pictures of herself
