Nov 2011 Weight Loss Adventure winner is susan...

On Noveber 1 weigh yourself and write it down. Do NOT send it to me. On November 30 weigh yourself again and PM me with your loss. This is weight lost not % lost. I will announce the winner December 2.

You can not win 2 months in a row.

Chit chat is allowed, as well as WAYWO, (what are we working on). Please stay positive and uplifting as that is what keeps us on track. Come to this thread for tips, recipes, encouragement and {{{{HUGS}}}}}}

The prize is a themed FQ. At the end of the month the people who didn't lose as much weight will contact the BIGGEST loser/winner for their information and sent them the themed FQ.

November is the time of family gatherings and wintering. This month's theme is RED, WHITE, or BLUE, in anticipation of the snow and fireplaces. As always if you can not send the theme fabric please send what you have. If you don't have an FQ, send a linear 1/4 yard. If you have signed up to be in the competition, please send the winner her/his fabric. The winner has worked hard for this reward.

Eat healthy, exercise, try and lose weight but most of all have fun!!!!!!!!!!!

Sign up deadline to be included in the Prize Adventure is November 3 at 9 a.m. CST. You can always contribute to the thread, but it is only fair to have a cutoff for those trying to win.

TO PARTICIPATE, JUST SIGN IN HERE ON THIS THREAD BEFORE NOVEMBER 3. THERE IS NO NEED TO PM FOR PARTICIPATION, JUST YOUR ENDING WEIGHT LOSS FOR THE MONTH.

You must sign into the thread at least weekly to be eligible for the winning "skinny quarters" or to be declared "best loser for the month."

createfourpaws 10-29-2011 08:49 PM

I'm in and will start keeping record of those joining us for November.

Cindy

purplemem 10-29-2011 09:07 PM

Cindy,
thank you for keeping that part of the record for me.

It is such an enormous help to have you working with me on the thread. Between you and Irish I don't feel like I have to keep it rolling all by myself.

Of course, without our regular chatters, we wouldn't have a thread. We would just have an idea.

Each one of us must contribute to assure this post stays active and we stay true to our goals.

Murphy1 10-29-2011 09:09 PM

I will be there for November. I forgot the color theme for the fabric for October. I need to get it ready for mailing.

BettyKay 10-29-2011 09:12 PM

Put me down again. I appreciate all of the hard work that you ladies put into this for the rest of us. Thank You.

Where are you going? We went to Jamaica for 16 years before we retired...now I am doing good if I can leave the state.

susan... 10-30-2011 04:56 PM

is it expensive to send a fat quarter?

Pam H 10-30-2011 05:02 PM

I am terrible with remembering numbers but it seems like it is about 75 cents.

44 cents and the cost of the f1/4. in a larger envelope it's 64 cents.

Jeannette in NJ 10-31-2011 03:45 AM

I am in for November. I really appreciate all the positive insite. I want to try to record a daily NSV (none scale victory). For today it will be NO HC (Halloween Candy), I am hoping by declaring it early I can make it happen.
Jeannette in NJ

Beachbound 10-31-2011 05:22 AM

Jeannette, remember no Halloween candy was out Taboo this week. You can do it!

I gained a bit in Oct...just 5 pounds or so but it was a shock to see 196 when I was at 190.5 earlier in Sept. Too many birthdays & pumkpin muffins. Today I got back on the treadmill & will start lossing the weight again.

ljs317 10-31-2011 05:45 AM

I am in for this month!

I'm in. Even if I reach the goal of fitting in my two smallest pair of pants, I need y'all to keep me on track. Our bodies want to gain weight to get us through the coming winter. Hey, body, it's 2011. Most of us have some sort of central heat and we don't need that layer anymore. Which reminds me, I need to get some wood in case the power goes out.

Beachbound, pumpkin muffins make a great breakfast. You can make them lower fat and lower sugar - I find adding a little vanilla to a recipe that doesn't have it allows me to cut down on the sugar. I can't believe most pumpkin muffin recipes. They could pass for cake.

I AM losing weight and getting healthier.

Murphy1 10-31-2011 10:01 AM

Fitting into clothes I haven't worn in awhile is the greatest motivation of all. Glad to see you will be here, I enjoy reading your comments. I have a long way to go, so I will be here through 2012 I am sure.

it is fun to 'go shopping' in your closet! new things to wear, and no cc bill or out of pocket expense! a 'husband approved' activity!

irishrose 10-31-2011 01:02 PM

I've got no husband and my expendable cash all has to go to Christmas, so new clothing is not an option but there's truly nothing I need. I have way too many clothes and plenty of fabric to make more if I so desire. I also have an ex-husband who doesn't think he's an ex, but that's another story. He just called again.

Anyone headed for a 16 need a bright limey olive pant set? Pants, jacket with 3/4 sleeves and a plaid shell. It's yours for the shipping. Shiny shangtung type fabic so it's a little dressy. Sag Harbor runs large, IMO.

Rita's mom 10-31-2011 02:54 PM

I am in again. I need all the help I can get. I need to stop goofing around and start losing again before I end up gaining what I lost back.

I forgot to show you my finish from yesterday. It looks better on my GD than on my mirror - she is my only grandchild with my little waistline(past for me). It matches her orange kitchen perfectly.

K's apron medallions are more orange and my wallpaper is more lilac.

I am in for Nov...hope I can do as well in Nov as I did in Oct. Good luck everyone..hope it goes as well as you all want also.

MissyGirl 10-31-2011 06:44 PM

I am in too! (For support only for the newbies that do not know me...I have had weight loss surgery so it would not be fair to the others)

I really really want to be in the 360s SOON. I hope that by increasing my produce and protein in my diet that that will do the trick this month. The inches are melting away but sometimes the poundage stays the same. :(

Anyway...you guys are awesome!

Missy

mim 10-31-2011 06:46 PM

I'm in -- I too need the motivation. I stayed the same this month. I still have 20 pounds to go.

Mim

Podunk Princess 10-31-2011 07:19 PM

We are going to Negril. We never go anywhere so this will be a big deal for us. My SIL has been trying forever to get us to go somewhere with them. She is a travel agent. So we are finally taking the plunge

wvhill22 11-01-2011 02:58 AM

Ok weighed in this am...uugh...lol...My son is getting married this weekend and will have lots of family in all weekend. Probably going to be a slow start for me

Jeannette in NJ 11-01-2011 04:17 AM

I did achieve my NSV on Monday. Do not have one to declare for today but will let you know when I do it.

Beachbound 11-01-2011 06:47 AM

Taboo Tuesday~ let's tag onto last weeks taboo of no halloween candy and say NO CHOCOLATE for this week. oh I can hear the gasp of dismay already!!! LOL, just know it wasn't my bright idea this time but we can do it! I finally earned my gold star last week, not 1 piece of candy did I eat. Last night was super hard too...we had 60 full size candy bars left over. I shared an apple with my grands & popped some smart pop microwave popcorn. Luckily my hubby is a candy fiend & those will be gone in a few days.

Beachbound 11-01-2011 06:58 AM

Irishrose, I love your apron! Thanks for sharing, it is fun to see what everyone is working on!

Murphy1 11-01-2011 01:37 PM

Well, I look forward to visiting this site. I am puzzled by changes. Going to have to get use to it all. Best wishes for our goals in November.

Murphy1 11-01-2011 01:41 PM

Will start tomorrow. I didn't read it until after 2:30 today because of the change over and I had 1/2 homemade cupcake for lunch.

purplemem 11-01-2011 02:05 PM

November's winner is createfourpaws, with a weight loss of 20 pounds! Everyone congratulate Cindy on her awesome loss and PM her to get her snail mail address to mail her FQ reward. Her FQ should be blue or white or a combo of both.

purplemem 11-01-2011 02:09 PM

I need last month's winner to PM me with her snail mail address as I had to delete my PMs today.
I have not mailed October 2011's FQ yet. I will go to the post office tomorrow.
Hugs,
MJ
