Of course, you've been leaving 1/4 on the edges! Your quilting brain thinks you are creating a seam allowance.
Give those knees some ibuprofen or Aleve before you go to bed.
You'll love it when you're done. I put one in my dining room and hallway about 6 years ago. The cloud of profanity is still lingering as a cloud over my house. Suffice it to say I was extremely pleased when the job was done.

Are they warm floors & are they hard to keep clean? My hubby wants them in our dining room-front living room but we live in a modular & I'm afraid they would be cold to walk on.
Looks great. Funny how the husbands like to inspect. Next week, we start to finish the last end of the hallway with walls and ceiling. So I'll be right there with you on the sore knees and elbows. LOL. Can't wait to see the finsihed room. It is great already♥♥

Ohhh, that is gorgeous! We put in an oak snap-lock floor in our previous house and loved it. Just keep thinking that the aching knees are well worth it!
